2012 German Open GP Gold: Will Chen Jin be sure to take Mens Singles title?

    .
Someone said Chen Jin will be sure to take this 2012 German Open GP Gold title. And the MS Final will be between Lin Dan and Chen Jin.

I believe Sho Sasaki could prevent this from happening. ;););)

It's good arrangement for MS players to reserve energy where usually they must play twice in one day :)

Yeah, CJ will not have easy path to book final spot here, JOJ & Sasaki may spoil the party :D

Yes, they are lucky because there are fewer qualification matches.
The match between CJ and JOJ should be interesting (if they get to face each other at the Quarter-Finals). :):):)

Carola Bott is playing WD on court at this moment.
This is the first time I've seen her play. Glad to see she is a competitive athlete and more than just the Barbie doll from pictures previously posted elsewhere on BC.

Also looks like in qualification today the TV court will be showing Kevin Cordon vs Pablo Abian in a re-match of their World Championship meeting.

    Hello,

Just saw that Lukas Schmidt and Marc Zwiebler (both Germany) will meet in first round of MS. Isnt there a rule that says that compatriots cannot meet each other in a first round? Maybe anyone knows about this...

I don't know the rules, but for a tournament in Germany there are going to be a lot of German entries. It is probably too complicated to avoid all German-German meetings. My guess is that they would avoid putting the German ranked 1 and 2 against each other in the first round, though.
    What rank is Lukas Schmidt?

Schmidt isnt ranked high, he entered main draw through qualification, maybe thats the reason.

The Tse Ying Suet-vs-Xing Aiying qualification match was a tough one.

It took 46 minutes for Tse Ying Suet to win: 19-21, 21-15, 21-14.
