Default Want to start stringing. What machine to buy?

What is a good stringing machine to buy? I want to get into stringing my own racquets. Any suggestions for a beginner's stringing machine?

your choices are EXTREMEMLY limited at that price point.

and most of the machines won't even come close to being "good"

at the minimum, something like an Alpha Shuttle Express (do a search).

and to be frank, if you have never strung a racket before, i would absolutely suggest you do not test out stringing in a brand new racket. it is not unheard of that breaking a racket being part of the stringing learning curve.

i think nowadays that machine goes for around $400.

newtechtennis.com used to have it, but might be out of stock.

contact mark@alphatennis.com and see if he can help you.

    1) you get what you pay for for stringing machine.
    2) do not get eagnas machine as i will post my finding and reason later this week. i just got so fed up with the eagnas machine and it is not even funny anymore.
    3) do you have a good stringing person in your area? i am going to tell you the truth and the truth hurt. Don't be a cheap @$$. you are going to spend >$220 for a racquet and you are going to skimp on a $20 string job and think you can do better than people charge $20 and doing this for living or doing this for fun and strung more than 1000 racquets already?
    4) since you are going to learn stringing with a vt-zf, my advice is DON'T.
