I'm trying to gauge interest in a Thursday evening session. Proposed Venue: Singapore Badminton Hall, Lorong 23, Geylang Proposed Time: 8pm to 10m This session would be for Intermediate to Advanced players. The intention is to play on the inner courts (the VIP courts), which have international tournament grade surfaces. The bad news is that they are each around $18 an hour. I'm not sure rightaway what the participation fees will be but it's quite likely that a session could cost each player $10 or more. If we have 14 players, we will try to book two courts. If we have 21 players, we will try to book three courts. If you're interested, please post your name here

Sir Bobby, Can lower down the level ... say Low-intermediate and above cos your stated "Intermediate to Advanced" ... to me is "High intermedaite to High Advanced" ...
Perhaps the international-grade playing surfaces at the SBH deserve at least Intermediate players On a more serious note, I believe the comparatively high session fees are a turn-off. But, given the high rentals at the SBH, the ~$10 fee-per-player simply can't be helped. To repeat: IDEA FAIL
Yes, the VIP area (which has six courts) is air-conditioned. However, the aircon draft is strong enough to hinder playing. Switching off the air-conditioning before the session is advised.
At advance level, shuttles would be use at a rate of a tube an hour per court. 7 players to share the cost of two tubes of shuttles and 2 hours of court fees. I guess per player is paying at 13 dollars. If players side bet on their games, like 20 dollars per win. It would be attractive to advance players and wards off intermediate players.
My friend got 2 friends interested in such a match. Minimum 500 dollars a match per player for coaching fees for each game lost. Then the court fees would seem insignificant...
Sir, YCK SH is nearer to you hun? Thanks for coming down on 21 Wed but cant see you sweat a lot. Forgive our lousy skill ... Also thanks for all the sharing after the session .. Interesting ....
