    hi all,

got up real early today and found myself stringing a racket. decided to make this video to illustrate the difference between hard and soft weaves when weaving cross strings. enjoy!

One-weave-ahead turns everything into an easy weave:) - I couldn't believe the difference when I started doing it.

you can actually see how much trouble i had doing the hard weave, while the soft weave was pretty smooth.

btw, some people call it soft weave, some call it easy weave. both are fine to use.

I didn't understand when I watched the video in the other thread, as I thought the weave itself was somehow different.
I've always done a hard weave, I'll weave one ahead and see how much easier it is, thanks!

Edit: Wow I didn't realise how old this thread is lol. Might be worth a bump though, as new people start to string, I've been stringing for over a year and hadn't realised this.

    Why isn't this stickied?

In fact, I'd almost be so bold as to suggest a sub-board under Stringing Techniques, where people can't make new threads, but moderators can move threads to when they're especially helpful.
