Hi everyone, i never had any experience with drop in play

can some one explain to me how drop in play works? i don't want to look like a complete idiot walking into a club and not know how to line up and the other player's expectation (rally or game). from what i understand is when i get to the club, i pay the drop in fee and will be assigned to a court with other players that they also don't know each other and play double, am i correct?

also if you can share you drop in experience with different clubs ex: flying dragon/agincourtopen in terms of friendliness/skill level/facility
