Option to block out some sub-forums

Not sure if it's technically possible, but maybe there can be a setup page, whereby we can uncheck some sub-folders, so that when we click "new posts" or "today's posts" they would NOT turn up.

Eg. Somebody in Asia wouldn't really be interested in region-specific "looking for players" kinda thread, in Timbuktu.

PS: "Today's posts" = updated/new threads on the same day. But "new posts" are not updated/new threads since LAST LOGIN right? Cos frequently the results returned, will be lesser in quantity vs "today's posts". So what exactly does clicking "new posts" return? Thanks.
