Sometimes I wonder what is Taufik motivation. He is very rich, even richer than Lee Chong Wei. He does not need another World Championship title or Olympic gold.

Some might even be suspicious and thinks that Taufik has side bet when he played badly against low rank opponent. When he shows that he can still beat Chen Jin, suspicions like that can arise.

But Pedro Martins surely is in a different (talent) league compared to the Bulgarian . Anyhoo he has been away for a while, injured iirc and other stuff so already out of juniors a couple of years before Axelsen, probably already 21 by now (edit: just turned 22).

"Been away" is all relative : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/fi...3E64CC&q=57034

Under the radar is more like it!

I must say this style of presentation/ tournament setup looks very depressing . Almost glad I am not there (almost) ...
No point in doing it untill matches are broadcast on tv imo ... (darkening the surroundings and spots on the court)

What exactly do you mean with tournament setup? The setup of all players?

I'm really a little bit sad about the missing LCW. Now even PG is missing due his foot injury...
CJ and CL seem to be the most interesting MS-playeres there. Tien Minh Nguyen is maybe also interesting to watch - very special playing style.

Whatever, it's the first tournament I'm going to watch right in the near of the court and the players themself I hope I will be anyways.

No, that the hall is so dark. Maybe it looks good for tv broadcasting or maybe it is not as dark as it looks in real life but in the end it's not a cinema or theater . I was going to go but the [WDN] virus has also affected me

I wonder if they already regret going to down to 3 courts today ... (but they seem to have scheduled plenty of time in between )
