    Hi,

I have just moved to Toronto and want high level badminton, with feather shuttles.

I am living near North York, I don't have a car and my nearest subway station is Bessarion and Leslie station.

I am just next to North York general hospital.

Need badminton near a subway station, I would travel 20-30 on subway.

    Please help!!

I live near there too and I play some high level badminton on a regular basis.

I can't think of any place near a subway station that plays high level and with feather. Most high level badminton clubs are in the markham/scarborough area which requires you to either subway + bus or use a car.

There are community centers that you could go to, but they would most likely be intermediate level at best, and would play with plastic shuttles.

Best place I can recommend for you right now is http://www.agincourtopen.com/

Come on thursday/friday/saturday nights, and you will see many high level games with shuttles.

Since you're from Ireland, I can suggest leaside badminton cuz I noticed a lot of European players there.

hey use plastic but someone there will most likely be able to point you in the right direction once they see what level you play at. Intermediate-advanced level, but that's subjective.

There are a lot of places with good players that are easy to get too. George brown college has a club. Agincourt, Ryerson university's badminton club, YMCA metro all have good players who only use feather.

    George Brown for sure.
Tuesdays at St. James Campus 8.30pm - 10.30pm
Thursdays at Casa Loma Campus 7pm - 10pm
Sundays at St. James Campus 4pm - 8pm

Drop-ins, wooden courts, feathers only. The regulars out there are friendly, and will also help you to find other places to play.

The manager is Kim Ng; if you would like his number, send me a PM and I will give you the info.

Good luck, and happy playing! :)
