the letters at the end of a serial number like on YY rackets eg FR would be France.

Search....there are loads of threads talking about this.

Some people say yes, others say not. Some people have "evidence" it is true, others refute this.

Out of curiosity i have bought a number of supposedly special codings. I havent used them enough to tell the difference. Personally i think it is. A method of logging sales to each country.

Being from UK though i quite like having JP rackets...even if i dont use them. I guess that is the collector in me.

Hi James. Thanks for replying. I have seen the threads but wanted confirmation. Is the build quality of rackets across the world different? I would assume that they might vary from factory to factory but what do through manufacturers say?

    Hi all.

For example, in Ukraine, we almost all playing Yonex. We have Wish, Winex and other brands - but this is 10 percent of all.
Yes, i think Yonex lost his quality. Why? I don't now. Country\region difference? Maybe.

    I'm 23. Playing 5 years. Level - a few steps to c.m.s) 187 cm, 92 kg.

My first shoes Yonex SHB-56, great durability. 2 years of hard work)

second - SHB-85. This is after six mounth:

Ok. Yonex SHB-102. Four mounth in play.

    Oh.. racquets.
    I playin almost all Yonex models, isometric 65\75 - NS9000\9900 - MP 100 - AT 500\700\900 - VT80.

Now i play my repaired AT700) Why?) This is VT80 after 3 mounth of agressive play (without serious crashes). Realy good head-heavy attack racquet. But..
this is second broken vt-80 in my court.

Now i'm with horror looking at VT-ZF, i realy love Yonex equipment. This is not only brand-name, this is history. but all this troubles make me sad. and make me think.

Sorry 4 my english) glad to see russian-speaking visitors ;)

I don't know how many factories Yonex have. I imagine the quality could differ from each different factory, but I would suggest the main factor would be if different factories use different material suppliers.

The shoes do not have country codes like the rackets but there are Japan market and Export versions. What you have on your SHB85 is also reported quite a lot here Netherlands but not so much on this forum. Maybe when trying to make the shoes lighter now they have become to weak for the heavier European players compared to Asian ones. Try Adidas handball shoes maybe next time or Asics or Victor ...
As for the rackets I see no reason to suspect it has more to do than just a simple matter of warranty handling and market protection (maybe even to reserve the stock for the different disributors so the specs they have chosen to import are actually available in sufficient numbers/guaranteed deliverable).

Victor is not presented in my country. Adidas.. mass-market pop-shoes without good quality, i think) have many markets.
Asics.. good volleybal shoes. not bad quality.. but design.
reminds me of the shoes of the Soviet soldiers))

    sorry. translate 50\50)

very difficult after three months to prove that it is a warranty case. although it clearly. The question of the exchange until the racket is solved with the dealer.

We do not have an absolutely clean Dealer, and the question as imported racket is really a big issue))

After a month I can say something specific.

be aware that the country code denotes where the racket is sold, and not where they are manufactured.

all rackets of all country codes are made in the same factory.

I suspect even within the same factory, there can be differences in the batches of the same model - rather similar to a secular trend.

Economic sense suggests that only one type of racket is produced on each line. So which racket you buy might have a bigger effect than the country code.

So far I've tried a TW coded and a CD coded VT80 rackets. At my level of play...I cannot tell if there is any significant differences between the 2 rackets. Thus I'm inclined to believe that it's just a distribution code. Possibly for ease of tracking and warranty purposes.

The differences in price is whatever the market suggests in the area. Much like how things are with everything else in the real world.

I've heard many horror stories about Yoneex's SP racquets paint quality chipping easily. I've only tried AU and CD coded Yonex and I've only chipped the AT900P in a clash. Never did it chip because I was picking up a bird or one of my mega rim shots... (Insert dirty comment when appropriate)
