Looking for Badminton in Pattaya

I will be traveling to Thailand in a few weeks, 6th April to 27th.
I'm looking to attend a club for a club night or play with a group of Intermediate players if anyone can fit an extra person in. I'm 35 and I judge myself to be Intermediate all round in skill level playing league badminton in the UK. I will also be in Chiang Mai for a week so I’m looking for a game or two there.

Chiang Mai from April 8th - 14th
Pattaya From April 15th - 27th


If anyone knows of a place that could accommodate me or has advice on where to play, it would be much appreciated.

Darren,

There are a number of places in Pattaya for badminton. The only problem is finding a team that plays at your intermediate level that will allow you to join in.

I am currently living in Beijing full time but I return to Pattaya often for vacation and I am always able to get a game with my old team at Euro Club. They play on Tuesdays and Fridays from 4:30PM to 6:30PM. They are all intermediate level players from England, Holland, Sweden, Canada, and Thailand.

Fairtex is the most modern place in town to play. They have a service to provide playing partners if you arrive alone.

I have gathered together some info for you. Open the attached Google kml file in Google Earth/Maps for locations and links.

Hello All,
I was thinking of staying at the Fairtex for our hotel because they have courts but does anyone actually play there or should we get a hotel near the beach and play at one of the clubs? Probably there sometime between mid April to beginning of May 2013.

Tim, I am not sure who is playing at Fairtex now. I was last in Pattaya about 4 weeks ago and played with my old team of expats at euro club. I am back at work in Beijing now so sorry about the lack of current info.

Is the Euro club available for guest to the area? Can someone stop in and get in on a pickup game? What would the price for court time be?
