Is there any SOTX model that has similar specs as the MP77?
ie. Isometric head, 2U weight, long, even to slightly head heavy balance, not-too-slim profile, medium stiff to stiff.

    Thanks.
Does a lower number for stiffness mean that the racket is stiffer or less stiff?

And are my eyes playing tricks on me or did I really see the price of the Woven 16 to be close to US$300???

The stiffness of SOTX rackets is from 8.0 - 9.0
Woven-16 is the most expensive one among all SOTX rackets.

Lower number is supposed to be stiffer and yes, your eyes are quite okay with the prices.

SOTX has a few models which are priced at US$200-US$300 price range.

If that's the case, I think mongoose will rather spend that kind of money on a Yonex racket. ;)

I believe SOTX racquets are of very high quality, especially its high grade rackets. Of course, I can't pay for it. But if you want to get a super unique racket, maybe you can have a try. :D In fact, I have never seen Woven-16.

Yeah but the problem is whether I'll like the racket I bought. I can't test it out beforehand as nobody has it here in Singapore. And there're not many reviews about their rackets either.

Listing out the specs of the racket is one thing. But playing with it and giving a review is better!

If I don't like it, it will be quite hard to sell it as not many people heard of this brand and will be quite skeptical. The resale value is also not as good as Yonex rackets.

I just wonder why SOTX made the prices of the high end models so expensive? :p
With all due respect to the quality of the rackets, at those prices I doubt anyone will ever buy them.

For US$200 I can get a CP version Yonex racket inclusive of shipping costs.

I can understand the higher price for Yonex rackets as they endorse alot of professional players.
But why the high price for SOTX rackets?

I'm really keen to try the Woven 4A.
    The price seems decent too.

However the Woven 16 is waaaaaaaay too expensive for me.
Would love to take a look and try it. But what's the point? Even if I like it, I won't be able to afford it. :D

Thanks everyone. I will seriously consider the Woven 4A.

:D In fact, most of SOTX racquets are under US$100.
All the Woven series racquets are all very good.

    US$300? That's about RMB 2500.

If that's true, I really wonder how successful SOTX market strategy will be. To me, I really don't think a fairly new brand will attract sig. amount of buyers to spend RMB2500 for a racket. Even the top Yonex models are at most around RMB1000+, CN models might be able to hit RMB1500+.

I am used to playing with Yonex rackets with G4 grip size.
Are SOTX grips larger than Yonex's G4?
Or do they different grip sizes like Yonex?
If so, what SOTX grip size is the same as Yonex's G4?
    Thanks.

I am not very sure about whether SOTX has different grip size or not.

All my SOTX rackets have grip size around G3.

In fact, now SOTX racquts have more than 2 size grips.

    Grip size: ( perimeter)
    2#: 3* 1/4 inch
    3#: 3* 3/8 inch
    4#: 3*1/2 inch

Then you can choose the most suitable grip.

    SOTX Power Boss Woven-16

    Hey Guys
I've just bought the Woven-16 and played it in the last week. and i got to tell yous all that it really kicks sum serious ass. i mean for it weight, it packs so much power.
I've used most of the yonex racquets prior to this, but now i can't go back. i seriously mean this is the best racquet i've ever tried.
It definitely generates more power than at700,mp100,mp99,mp77,ti10,cab20ml,iso ti sp sx,Carlton as-ti, etc. and feel easier to use (adaptability and control and feel).
    It's definitely worth every penny!

In fact in HK, most of Sotx rackets are cheaper than Yonex, I mean the middle to low end range.

I own Woven 3, STB 8080 and STB 8080+ at this moment.

Sotx is amazing...for power and control, but I still keep using Yonex. Just sometimes use Sotx. The reason? If I rely on Sotx I many never go back to Yonex...so I cann't let Sotx rackets become my habit...
    :D :D :D

 That doesn't seem to make any sense. Are you afraid SOTX will close down? If you like SOTX so much why go back to Yonex?

Anyone knows how to get this "kick ass" racket in Singapore?
How about a group purchase ?
