I was using a Arc10 for quite sometime and recently moved to Victor BS10. From the specs, both of them are rated stiff and even balance. From what I could understand from various posts here, Arc10 should be evenbalance slightly leaning towards head heaviness. But, when I used BS10 for the first time, I felt it much more stiff and slightly more headheavy that Arc10. One reason I can think of for head heaviness is that I am using G2(equi to YY G5) where as for Arc10 I was using a G4. So my question is this. If I rate MX80 as 10 for stiffness and VTZF as 10 for headheavy where would BS10 and Arc10 stand in ratings in comparison?
rc Saber 10 G4 vs BS 10 G3 Victor grip code is slightly confusing if we want to compare it to Yonex grip code however a G3 factory circumference for Victor is near to 3.5 inches similarly to a G4 factory circumference to a Yonex racket. Assuming if the below parameter is the same for both the Victor BS 10 and the Arc S 10 when we are using it: - Grip size : BS 10 = G3 vs Arcs 10 = G4 - No lead tape applied and factory grip is intact for both rackets while using it - Similar replacement grip design and technique used for both racket - Similar stringing specification and brand used Then my opinion, the Balance for both rackets should be: - Arc S 10 = 7 ( Even Balance ) - BS 10 = 8 - 8.5 ( Between even balance and slight head heavy) SS
Thanks mate.. Yes, I was aware of this grip size differences of Yonex and Victor. Thats y i said about using a yonex G5 equivalent for victor.. If its 8.5 head heavy compared to 7 of Arc10, then no wonder I felt more head heavier when I used the BS10... Btw, what about the stiffness rating for both? Any idea?
hmm... I was hoping for the other way round... BS10 a bit stiffer than Arc10... I am currently selling all my other rackets and sticking to Even balance/ stiff rackets.. One from Yonex .. One from Victor.. Don want they both to vary too much in specs...
After playing for some more sessions, and doing a couple of manual bend tests, I am pretty sure that my BS10 sample is pretty stiff... I have played with some stiffer rackets like NS9900, 9000, Armortecs, voltric80 etc.. so I am not that alien to stiff rackets. But somehow this feels a bit more stiffer. I am having AU code, since BS10 stiffness varies based on country, could that be a cause?
