GOSEN Korea is going to launch new roots series, ROOTS AERMET SMARTRON. SPEC Balance:Middle(even) Flex: Regular(medium) Weight: 85± Length: Long Grip: G6 Material: High Modulus Graphite + Hot melt Graphite + Aermet Tech: GAVUN shaft Flat cap Aermet Delta Joint New grip They have not launched the racket yet. I got this racket from directly from Gosen Korea and they will introduce this model soon. Retail price is US$300.00 and, probably, sell US$200.00 in the shop I've played few days. Smartron is a flexible racket that I did not need much power to create such a smash. Maybe it's because of Gavun tech but it was so easy to create power with this racket. But if I put too much power then the racket couldnt take it and the shuttle flew flat. If you use wrist alot, then this racket is right one to choose. Racket is so light so easy to control and drive was better than great. I never felt anything like this. and they used whole graphite so you can see marbles everywhere. The feeling of the racket is great. This one was given to me for free but if this one breaks then I will definitely purchase one.
Yesterday I was also offered a new Gosen Aermet 'MIRACLE LIGHT', seems to be even higher line than this 'Smartron', the differences are the grommet system and 'Hard' flex on the shaft. The grommet system seems to be 1grommet-1string and the grommets at 3 and 9 o'clock positions are movable/telescopic on the inside frame. It was a beautiful racket but at >US$210 is way too expensive.
I am not a Gosen fan but I believe the kick point aids you to 'whip' the racket w/ extra power. Also, maybe extra power to help us KICK our opponents' assess,
Tagging on this post, apologies to the thread starter. where can I get this Aermet Smartron and Aermet 9500 speed in Singapore? Any indicative pricing?
As I know, there is one shop in Penang does carry this, last time as I check, he got plenty of stocks for this model.
Wow, the graphics are so sparkly and the pattern looks to be pretty unique... I will try this racket if I can find a store in Canada carrying this. To OP, is the G6 grip of this racket still a Carbon Handle? From the pics, it looks like the grip is made of some sort of plastic that is colored and modeled like wood, but without feeling it, I cannot be sure. OP can you confirm?
