Has anyone tried Victor VS-800 string?

    It is 0.70 gauge.
A dealer provides this spec in the picture. Victor String VS800Spec.jpg

I want to hear your review from experience.
    Is it soft/medium/hard?

I heard from other dealer says it feels like BG65ti.
Some say it feels like BG65.
BG 65 is soft and BG65 Ti is hard according to Yonex string chart.
I am guessing the feeling of the string is characterized by elasticity, texture, how easily bending.

    Bump.
I hear it is soft and durable and very popular with the national teams at the AE2014.

It is soft - too soft for my liking, in fact. But ye gods it lasts.

At least until tension drops too much. If it has good retention then it might be nice.

    How's the texture?

The VS-800 is actually now a 0.69mm thickness string and not a 0.70mm

The VS800 has a quite rough coating. Good for net play. But in all ather aspects i find it quite average. Not as durable as BG65, harder than BG65 but not as hard as BG80 or BG65ti, bad vibration dampening and in my opinion a dead and dull feeling. I don't like it.

Texture is pleasantly grippy for a "durability" string, and shuttles don't seem to skate even at my tension.

String movement was low once the strings have broken in, but if you're doing a lot of slices then your strings are always going to move!

Nah nothing compared to ashaway strings, the ashaway strings i've tried were really old ones but the movement on them were just way too much!

rally 21 doesn't move so much though

the NS-660 Ti moves more than this!

There aren't enough 4 letter words to describe how much I detest Ashaway's string movement.

Very little, I've found. But then I do bang a big V on the string bed these days. Gotta represent!

And remember, 33 is going to be very difficult to move no matter what the string;).

850 at 30lb has lasted 2 weeks and roughly 15 hours of court time, that's ok for me but I need something more durable above 26lb to stop people moaning too much.

My NS660 Ti has lasted about 30 hours court time and still going

    however just strung at 27/29

VS800 is definitely more durable than the VS850 but I feel the VS850 is a bit more lively

I wouldn't feel too comfy taking the new 880 past 30, to be honest. In fact, when my 4U TK9000 get here 880 @ 30 will be my first port of call.

That's interesting as I feel NS880 has more in it than meets the eye. My next racket will be strung at 29/31 in NS880 and I'm looking forward to it.

With regard to 800, I strung a few rackets at 33/33 at All Englands using this string and they took it without a problem. I think there's a lot more to test with 800.

I've strung the old 880 at 28x30 so I'd hope the improved version would still be able to take it.
