Hi, This is the 1st time I am having this problem since I started to use Yonex super grap. Just want to know how to treat it and also how to prevent it after this? I suspect that the grip size is perhaps too small for my palm thus when stroking the shuttle there will be more friction in between my palm and the grip? Should I grip it with another layer of supergrap? By the way, it is not a blister anymore, its like a hardened dead skin. Any input will be appreciated
I think you are getting blisters because your hands are too dry. In this case no need to use super tacky grips. The skin on your palm should soften unless you keep blistering it, like the hard patches near the big toe
Yes, my palm is always dry So what u suggest is to change another type of grip? Do you think if grip might be too small for me also a contributing factor to the blister?
Grip size doesnt normally contribute to blistering. I have small hands and never get blisters on PU grips of any size. You need to find a less tacky PU grip. Maybe try a non PU or even leather.
Nothing u can do about it. Caused from constant rubbing. I have 1 in the exact same place which I got from fishing and badminton. The body builds up another layer of skin as protection. Its perfectly fine. Can be sore in early stages when playing but rest from the sport a while and the pain wil go away. Used to hurt me a lot as a child when I fished. I put a plaster over it which def eased the pain a lot when fishing. U could do this when playing badminton
Yeah I think nothing much I can do... After stop playing badminton for about a week, the hardened skin begin to go off abit. But I beleive if I am to play back, it will give thicker dead skin. Maybe I should use a thicker grip or less tacky grip hmm...
