badminton got me thinking about the philosophy, mainly the Japanese concept of Kaizen, which is the pursuit of perfection.

it made me realize that true fulfillment came not from vapid entertainment, but from developing a skill.

I'm sure there are many life lessons that could be derived from badminton, but that's just one.

Badminton is an art, a way of life. Much like martial arts. It has also provided a focus outlet for OCD people like me. :p.

Looking back on the "before", it was sh*te, but I didn't think so at the time. It's like asking what life was like before the internet (ye gods, I'm old...).

I still remember what life was like without a pc. Does this make me old, too?

    hmm.. my life before badminton?
univ, playing online games, browsing internet, sleep
    that's my life, everyday

after playing badminton, I go out from my house more often, do some sports, going out with my friends after that
and I can't wait for the next time I'm going to play badminton because it is very fun and I'm wondering what kind of games I would play next time, something more exciting and different?
will I learn something new? can i beat my friend more often? (usually it ends 3-2.. with my loss)

In Indonesia I played doubles, and it is even more exciting, 4-5 hours non-stop of playing, exchanging shots, loads of fast return and smashes

badminton is the main reason why I'm trying to lose more weight.. (was 125kgs before and now 106kgs)
and now I feel lighter, faster and have more stamina than before

my first computer is an acer with windows 1998.. I didn't have a computer before that, is that counted as being old? lol..
I remember I used it for playing games.. like the motorbike, or the cat and the mouse (rodent's revenge), maxwell, or chips

Yeah? 8 bit 6502 processor if I remember correctly :)

16k RAM used to be a big deal.

Before badminton, there were arcade games - "Defender" and "Missile Command"
