And - unlike Li Gen or the one whom many hope to be the next LCW - our girls lost in respectable manner, losing in rubber games against their CHN/JPN/THA opponents - all are no easy meat. With all due respect, this part of your post sounds belittling their hard work.

lost my MD today, but as chris mentioned before, alot of the aus players dont stand a chance. we get on court for the experience to play world class players in an official tournament. although i lost 21-6 21-6, playing against the world ranked number 9 ranked MD pair was the match of my life and an experience of a lifetime. show us some support, we are all doing our best.

Way to go, Greg! You're living the dream for most of us, and don't you go giving up on it! Great to see so many AUS players in the tournament, and if this happens more often, I'm sure some of you guys will finally break through to the next level.

To me,Showman Sasaki is as dangerous as Dangerman Lee HI to most of the players.

Li Gen is not in that picture. Went clubbing perhaps.

No, I corrected myself already, it looks like He Hanbin. Li Gen is much chubbier especially in the face

    R16.

Matches that I look forward to.

MS. Shon Wan Ho v/s Ajay Jayaram. Even though AJ is seeded much lower, he could take this one if he bends his back and maintains focus. If it goes to the rubber though, AJ is history.

WD. Maeda/Suetsuna v/s Duanganong/Kunchala promises to be a thriller. The Japanese top seeds will be looking for revenge, the Thai girls will be looking to stay on top of them. A real cat-fight!

MD. Fuzzy v/s Pratama/Saputra. The MAS pair can do this. They have the experience, and the game for it. Although the INA pair are ranked much higher, they appear to have reached the extent of their abilities. Fuzzy can ambush them.

WS. Inthanon v/s Wang Lin. All eyes will be on the returning CBA poster-girl, but I'm watching RI. She is the future of WS badminton, and if she plays to potential, this could be pretty one-sided.

MS. Boonsak v/s Taufik. For old time's sake! Let the magic flow again. Hopefully...
