Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan won over Lee Sheng Mu/Fang Chieh Min 21-16 21-15. So, is it still possible for them for OG?

(farewell??) title for Markis Kido / Hendra Setiawan.
They finally clinch title after about 2 years, I guess

    Possible, but TINY chance.
Their ticket depends on how good the performance of 4 pairs in BAC and/or India SS:
    - Sato/Kawamae
    - Hashimoto/Hirata
    - Alvent/Hendra
    - KKK/TBH

    Maybe that's why they won...hahaha
But unfortunately it is unlikely they could defend their Beijing Olympics title, now that their WR is low.

Congratulations to Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan for winning the MD title today, beating Fang Chieh Min/Lee Sheng Mu very comfortably. It is indeed a long-awaited title for them, having won their last open title in the Malaysia Open GPG 2010. In between, they also reached the Denmark SS 2010 & HKG SS 2010 Finals.

Still, it's a bitter-sweet feeling for Hendra Setiawan as he knows that he will not be participating at the London Olympics 2012. Nevertheless, we know that he is still a good player and we await with interest whom he will be paired with. My hunch is probably with Mohd Ahsan.

Yes Congrats to Ying and Yu for winning their first international. They really look alike and I wasn't aware they are twins until now!
