I believe they all students of the coach Elvin Teh or Teh Seng Huat who used to coach LCW when he was a little kid. The coach has a site called Easy Badminton ....something like that and the site shows pictures of the players. When I looked at it a while back WPT was not one of them. It also looks like the court they are playing is where the coach is teaching (or used to teach).

LCW & Tee Jing Yi vs CEH & Nelson Heg. TJY is WS player, Nelson is 2011 WJC in MD. At the sidebar you can see more vids
The blog is by Mr Teh's son, Elvin Teh, he is BC member & started a thread here. Mr Teh is LCW's 1st coach when he was a kid, all the national players in the vid are Mr Teh's ex students. That court should be Mr Teh's 'training center' in Penang(looks like a school hall), he still coaches till today.

Note that all four players are from Penang.

Something about these sort of video's seems more 'real' and impressive than tournament recordings. I think it's that the camera height and angle are the same as what I experience down the local sports hall, giving me a frame of reference for comparison. The sound is unedited and being able to hear people breathing, the sqeek of the shoes and the sound of the shuttle on the strings adds even more. Finally I think having the people and walls near the court helps add further perspective and scale.

All these things are missing with modern international tournaments in their large and strategically lit arena's.

A typical idyllic afternoon in a tropical climate. Note the spectators in their t-shirt, shorts and sandals. Really nice..
