The ticket prices have increased again!

The Adult early bird season ticket price has increased from S$25 last year to S$32 this year (28% increase). In 2010 the ticket cost S$18.
The Premium Adult early bird season ticket price has increased from S$80 last year to S$100 this year (25% increase). In 2010 the ticket cost S$50.
The above ticket prices exclude the Sistic fee charges.Last edited by Sealman; 04-16-2012 at 11:31 PM.

Axiata price money is US$1 million while Lining is only $200K. If axiata charged 14 sgd, lining should be divided by 5.

Why you all complaint about the ticket? How you want to develop the game while the community is complaining about the ticket prize? How bwf can increase the prize money if you want to watch the games for cheap? Some more Singaporean are rich compare to other Asia country, what are $100 mean to watch top class player in action?

This mentality which makes those organizers keep increasing their money. Do you really think those left over are used for badminton development? Be realistic, those will be paid for staffs bonuses. Why you all complaint about the ticket? How you want to develop the game while the community is complaining about the ticket prize? I don't mind pay concert price of $100-$150, as long as Lin Dan play in the final.
I think he will not come, even he come will like last year just give up the match !

Rental can be covered easily. They have sponsors all over the courts. TV licenses, etc. It's called Lining Singapore Open for a reason. It's been covered under their marketing/promotion budget.

i think the local organizers are testing for limits that singapore will pay to watch, just like EPL subscriptions..world cup etc...its all about corporations and $$$ in Singapore.
Charge higher gate fees is ok, but to justify the increase, they have to attract the 'big guns' to participate!!
...i have my doubts as who will come this year. so no, you can't have my $100.

Anybody with password for Fans of Li-Ning or NTUC member. Please PM me. Greatly appreciated. Thanks.
It is sad that even though I am still a uni student but I do not qualify for student price because it is for up till age 18 only... The only way to qualify for student price is with the Fans of Li-Ning or NTUC member concession.
