My view on MAS Junior Player, don't know right or wrong ?
I think any gap between the best player and the 2nd, 3rd layers. Some MAS Junior players who compete on ASEAN School Games (ASG) are better than those 2nd or 3rd layers.
ASG :
BS : Soo Teck Zhi, runner up Dutch Junior 2012.
GS : Ho Yen Mei, who beat Hana Ramadhani in Vietnam in 2 setsLast edited by Sandy; 07-03-2012 at 10:59 PM.

It s an energy strategy. The winner used up maybe 50% of his tank to be sure of getting G1. Then he rested , at the same time used tactics to burn up his opponent s energy in G2. So G3, he just strolled past the exhausted opponent. CHN has often used this, eg WSX, when they know they have to take G1 to have any chance of defeating the opponent. Doesn t always work against a strong opponent.

Alfian Eko Prasetya/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo beat the third-seed from MAS Calvin Ong Jia Hong/Tan Wee Gieen pretty comfortably 21-5, 21-15. That's really still quite a surprise to me considering this is the first time Alfian and Kevin are partnering each other. Alfian typically does not play MD, while Kevin has been partnering Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho for the past few tourneys.
They should progress to QF as they face Lee Cheuk Yiu/Tang Chun Man next. Their QF opponent is likely to be Park Se Woong/Choi Sol Kyu [8]. We shall see if they can win at least the Bronze Medal.

BD R16
Edi Subaktiar/Arya Maulana Aldiartama [4] vs Ra Min Young/Ryu Soo Hwan - I still believe Edi/Arya can progress to the SF to challenge Lee Chun Hei/Ng Ka Long.
Lee Cheuk Yiu/Tang Ka Man vs Alfian Eko Prasetya/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo - not to underestimate the HKG pair, but I think Alfian/Kevin should have a decent chance for a SF finish.
Takuto Inoue/Yuki Kaneko vs Hafiz Faisal/Putra Eka Rhoma [2] - the Japanese pair has emerged to be the dark-horse in the BD event. It will be a hard match for Hafiz/Eka and I hope they can beat the Japanese.
GD R16
Melati Daeva Oktaviani/Rosyta Eka Putri Sari [6] vs Aya Ohori/Mayu Nakamura - a tricky tie and I hope Melati/Rosyta progress. Rosyta still has 3 more years in the Junior circuit.
Han Ga Hee/Lee Sun Min vs Anggia Shitta Awanda/Shella Devi Aulia [2] - a tough match always against any Korean GD pair. The WJC 2011 Silver-Medallist will not have a easy match from now onwards.

The other 2 pairs have pretty reasonable draw.
