String tension and string type for power and control depends on the players ability + its personal preference

I had Andres Lopez from Mexico recently try out a couple of rackets, 1 I had a cross start at 8 and 1 at 9. He did say he felt less power with racket starting at 8 but a little more control, and the one with main starting at 9 felt like more power.

Sir Kakinami, I remember you said that starting the cross at 8 gives an overall stiffer string bed (because of the larger amount of weaving between the main and cross strings thus less indivudual string freedom to move). Although at the higher tensions of 33lbs and above, I personally do not feel much difference, other than the extra cross at 8 giving the string bed a more "muted" feel.
