No, there have been no games that went over the score of 30 because the rules of badminton state that when it comes to the 3rd set, the score limit is set at 30 regardless of whether the score is 29-29. So if it's the 3rd game of a match where it is 29-29, the person who wins the next point wins the match.
Ok, I will make myself clear. Has there been any 1st or 2nd set of singles match that went over the score of 30? So far, the closest I've seen is Bao vs Lee 28-26 first set in 2008 Thomas cup Final.
none of set 1,2 or 3 will exceed 30point mark never the rule imply for every badminton matches, set or game
As LImsy says, no matter what set it is, when it gets to 29-29 it is next point winner. There have been quite a few occasions it has happened. Oddly in WS games it appears to be more common, I remember WYH and ZN/XXZ having one, maybe more games thet went the distance. Propbably just they are the ones I remember though.
Scoring System A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points. Every time there is a serve – there is a point scored. The side winning a rally adds a point to its score. At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game. At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game. The side winning a game serves first in the next game.
