Tournament structure
Hi !
I am currently organising a tournament down near Cardiff, Wales (proposed date is 2nd Nov) for Good Club to County level players, which will be open to all UK eligible players (so I hope guys like Matt Ross and the like can make it).
Cost will be roughly £5 per event. It will be run on a group basis for the 1st round, which allows for more games, unlike many of the English Satellite tournaments where it is a straight knock-out.
My question is about format of play, should it be singles then levels then mixed or mixed then levels then singles. It needs to to be completed in one day so time efficiency is important.
I thought it would be a good idea to get the bulk of the players there earlier in the day by starting off with Mixed, then move onto Levels. I could even throw singles in between .....
What do other people think.
Cheers,
Sean

there are occasions where it's friday - singles, saturday - doubles, and sunday -mixed

one day. how many courts do you have? how many players do you expect?
most badminton events i have seen are two day events. singles saturday morning, and then transition to mixed in the afternoon. and then regular doubles all day sunday.
