Nevertheless, nostalgic lol ... My first racket during the 90's. Yeah, simple to understand then maybe can find a more advance video. Keep it coming if you have more amusing video on badminton haha

When i first saw the title of this thread, I was expecting a conversation on how some old guys are still sharp even when you have 15years on them.
Or how Mr Gade is still playing so well by adapting his playing style

Lol, I must say I am guilty of practicing some grandfather styles myself recently and I find it most useful to an extend. But it is none of the above.

Due to my 'eccentricity' of keeping my playing wrist, palm and elbow dry all the time, I am very prone to wiping them with towels frequently during gameplay which can be distracting. So I have recently adapted the grandfather style of strapping a hand-towel to my waist! Yes very ah beng style. But it works great. Except that it slips and falls onto the floor when I play or exert too hard. :D

    ^ wow.

the style of play back then compared to now is so different. the footwork now is much faster, probably due to better equipment due to faster play? and not a single jump smash to be found.

The predominantly "white" dressing was still prevalent until quite recently..as demonstrated by some of our grandfather players...:)

Both seem to wear the same shirt ... one with black applications, the other with red ... funny ;)
