Default Pegadaian Walikota Surabaya Cup 2012

The juniors will be more interesting than the seniors as the Koreans and Japanese will be in Surabaya! This will be a good barometer for the AJC & WJC this year.

The top-seeds in BS U-19, GS U-19, BD U-19 and XD U-19 are all from Korea!

Surprisingly, our INA top U-19 players are mostly not competing here! Melati Daeva Oktaviani is paired with Raffidias Akhdan Nugroho instead of Edi Subaktiar. Also, Raffi is paired with Tedi Supriadi Luckily, we still see Melati Daeva Oktaviani/Rosyita Eka Putri Sari.

Where is Kevin Sanjaya and Edi Subaktiar/Arya Maulana Aldiartama???

    A little oot :

Addition news abt Axelindo Open results,

    GS U-17 Final,
All PB Exist Final : Fitriyani v Priskila Siahaya
Both girls beat 2 Top Seed, Shinta Arum & Linda Mutiara Pertiwi of PB. Mutiara. This results proved me that my prediction is right.

    GS U-15,
Aurum create upset, beat Sarah Christin 2 sets in Semi Final.

I don't see her play yet
Looking her results on Sirnas, her performances are on rising, beat some seeded players.
And I believe under Marleve, she has "somethings" as 1st choice together with Fitriani in PB. Exist.

hmm... i am curious to know how exist do their player scout.
there are some very good clubs around jakarta like tangkas, jaya raya, ragunan, pelita bakrie, sarwendah, shamrock cwbc, ganesha etc.
they must compete each other to get a talent come to their club. hahaha

but i am happy some promising GS U-17 train under marleve. they will learn how to attack and attack since juniors, rather than just play rally and rally...

As expected, most of the Pelatnas WS players are eliminated in their first matches, despite being seeded.

    R32
Yeni Asmarani [7] - lost to Chie Umezu
Maziyyah Nadhir [3] - lost to Akiho Yamamoto
Elizabeth Purwaningtyas - lost to Saya Yamamoto

    R16
Milicent Wiranto - lost to Tieke Arieda Ningrum [4]

Only 1 left in QF - Renna Suwarno [6]

And.....this is only the Pegadaian Walikota Surabaya Cup!

Chie Umezu much more experiences than Yeni Asmarani, so does Yukina Oku who beat seeded local player, Mega Cahya from PB. Jaya Raya.

In U-19 Category, some the experiences Korean who have played on WJC 2011 and won or Finalist in European Junior 2012 are unseeded.
But I think it's good chance if any local junior players will tested against the "elite" Korean junior players, very rarely event.

I know that the Japanese are more experienced. But, this just proves that too many players in WS is just a waste of money for Pelatnas! Players like Maziyyah Nadhir, Yeni Asmarani and Milicent Wiranto DO NOT DESERVE to be in Pelatnas!

Yes, too much player in Pelatnas.
I think they should cut more than half the number of player in WS, one or two players/pairs in other disciplines

BD U-19 is one of the event I am following closely due to the presence of the Korean and Japanese pairs.

A few upsets already: the second-seed Heo Kwang Hee/Jung Jae Wook lost to a Japanese pair. The third-seeded pair from Bayu Kencana (I don't know how they can be the third-seed here?) also lost to Jeon Hyun Jin/Kim Dong Joo.

    Some interesting matches today:
Edi Bagus Kurniawan/M. Faisal Ridho [7] vs Amal Ori Wibowo/Jeka Wiratama - a new partner for Jeka?? If the Djarum pair wins, they face a mouth-watering match against the top-seed Park Se Woong/Ryu Soo Hwan.

Loh Kean Hean/Tan Zi Jian vs Tedi Supriadi/Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho [8] - ditto for Tedi/Rafi. If they beat the Singaporean pair, they will take on either the fourth-seeded Japanese pair or another KOR pair.

For MD, the 2 new Pelatnas pairs are fielded:
    MD R16
    Ronald Alexander/Selvanus Geh
[4] vs Masato Fujiya/Tomohiro Kinjoh - the WJC bronze-medallist are expected to meet the top-seed Rian/Rendra in SF.

Fernando Kurniawan/Hadi Saputra vs Ade Yusuf Santoso/Wahyu Nayaka [6] - it will be a good result if the new Pelatnas pair can beat the more experienced Djarum pair, who just won a title last week.

Good to see Ade Yusuf Santoso/Wahyu Nayaka beating the Djarum pair.

    MD QF
    Ronald Alexander/Selvanus Geh
[4] vs Dhanu Utomo/Rio Willianto - it will be another good result if Ronald/Selvanus can progress to the SF.

Ade Yusuf Santoso/Wahyu Nayaka vs Chrisna Adi Wijaya/Ridho Akbar [3] - the non-Pelatnas pair is more experienced after-all.

    News from PB Djarum:
(NM)

So, in BD U-19, PB Djarum has the following pairs:
    1. Arsya Isnanu Ardi Putra/Hantoro - Winner of Sirnas Makassar 2012
    2. Jeka Wiratama/Amal Ori Wibowo - new partnership
    3. Tedi Supriadi/Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho - new partnership
    4. Abu Bakar/Kevin Ersa - SF in Sirnas Makassar 2012
    5. Yantoni Edi Saputra/Yahya Adi Kumara - they may just be paired back again?

The 2 MD pairs from Pelatnas have done well in this tourney and both pairs reach SF. They will entertain the top 2-seeds from PB Djarum who have the edge. It will be a marvellous result for Pelatnas if they can create an all-Pelatnas Final tomorrow!

    MD SF
    Rian Sukmawan/Rendra Wijaya
    [1] vs Ronald Alexander/Selvanus Geh [4]

Ade Yusuf Santoso/Wahyu Nayaka A.P. vs Seiko Wahyu Kusdianto/Rangga Yove Rianto [2]

The lone survivor in WS, Renna Suwarno [6] also progresses to SF. She will entertain Yukina Oku for a place in the Final.

The other surprises comes from WD, where PB Djarum's still U-19 pairing of Melati Daeva Oktaviani/Rosyita Eka Putri Eka Sari defies their seeding and beat the top-seed Lita Nurlita/Variella April Sasi Putri in the QF yesterday to book a spot in SF! They had also beaten a Japanese pair in R16 on Wed! They have a good chance against the only remaining Japanese pair Ayumi Tasaki/Serina Matsui. Let's see if they can go all the way to reach the Final and win the title here!

In BS U-19, the three seeded players from Korea progress to QF. I will be keeping a close tab on Reksy Aureza Megananda who will be facing Jeon Hyun Jin [3] and Rifan Fauzin Ivanuddin [5] who is also tested by Heo Kwang Hee [4]. The top-seed Jung Jae Wook will be tested by Agi Hariawan [8].

In GS U-19, Korea's dominance is reflected by the guaranteed presence of 2 of their players in SF. INA only has 2 rep in QF and I believe both will be eliminated today. Korea will also have 1 confirmed rep in the Final of GD U-19. The other spot will be fought between the top-seed Ila Alvionitasari/Ni Ketut Mahadewi and Saori Hayakawa/Saki Hayata [4]

BD U-19 and XD U-19 are pretty competitive. In BD, Korea and Japan have 2 pairs each in the QF, while Singapore has 1 pair. Indonesia is represented by 3 pairs, including Tedi Supriadi/Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho [8], who will have a tough task against Minoru Koga/Keiichiro Matsui [4].

In XD, Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho/Melati Daeva Oktaviani beat one KOR pair yesterday and will face the top-seed Park Se Woong/Kim Ji Won for a place in the last 4. There are altogether 4 KOR pairs and 1 JPN pair left in the QF, apart from 3 INA pairs.
