I'll even keep the BG66UM @ 24lbs on it if that's your preferred string and tension. And I'll also keep the Yonex overgrip (wave grip I think?) on it too.

I think mx jjss is suit more to thicker string.

Personal choice. I think I like a thin string with replusion like the 66UM and Zymax 65

I understand that the weight is also at the top, is this noticeable? How does the head heaviness compare to mx80?
And how does the stiffness compare to the BS LYD?

yup, the weight also position at top frame, but the overall balance point still similar with mx80 and mx60. The smoothness still there. i hvnt change to try bs lyd, but what i can say is i like the racket shaft how it behave during hitting the shuttle by whipping technique especially during smash. I can felt the shuttle bouncing 2times harder compare to my previous racket.

I'm actually testing a MX-80: It's extremely stiff and feels hard like two weeks old bread!

What about MX-JJS? Is the stiffness similar to MX-80 or rather to MX-70?

So after giving this racket a second chance, I am pretty pleased with the results. What appeared to be dull and powerless was probably dued to the string...Z67 is a way better choice me than the bg 80. My smashes have some power I never got with my 80 and it does feel very good. But even better, my backhand clear is now back to back most of the time, and that for the first time ever! For now its my main racket, but ill have to see if i wanna stay with it or go back to 80, but I must say I am enjoying it very much

Could you give us more details about the comparison between mx-80 and mx-jjs?

The swing is alot faster with the JJS than the 80...took me quite a while to get used to the timing. Even if the 80 is very stiff, I find that it is more friendly user than the jjs. Power wise, I think i have to give the advantage to the jjs since my smashes yesterday were really surprising.

To sum up your opinion:
Swinging speed: JJS > 80
Stiffness: 80 > JJS
Power: JJS > 80
User friendliness: 80 > JJS

But this is weird. 80 is stiffer but still more user friendly? How can that be? :P
In my opinion stiffness means sharpness and control. But at the same time it also has less "catapult effect" due its stiffness which means less power and more tiring, because you have to hit / bend it a lot more than with a flexier racket.

Had a singles session with the MX-JJS. Didn't get a chance to change the strings so I played it with BG66UM @ 24lbs that was on it. My impression is...it's fast. Faster than my VTZF as I had timing issues with it (ie. faster swing speed). Not quite as powerful than my VTZF and it has more a whipping action (ie. less stiff).

So once I restring it...I imagine it to be what I want in my doubles racket. Gives me a decent smash at the back and quick enough for doubles play.

The MX-JJS can be used for singles play. You probably won't be able to smash your way through everything. And at my low level...I need all the help I can get generating power. So I'll be sticking with my VTZF for singles play.

Also had the opportunity to play with Tedski. He's really good and better than me. I would classify him in the same group (skill-wise) as madbad and visor.

I hate losing...so it's kinda made me want to be selfish (despite my current situation) and get some lessons again to catch up.
