Some Pelatnas and INA club players are competing for a place in the Main Draw.

    MS Q1
    Adi Pratama
[6] vs Nathaphon Chokdeepanich - Adi is expected to meet Lu Ching Yao for a place in the Main Draw.

WS Q1 - I will be surprised if any one of the INA Pelatnas WS players can make it to the Main Draw
Maziyyah Nadhir [4] vs Lee Im Jung

    Millicent Wiranto vs Wisara Makasasitorn

Liang Xiaoyu vs Renna Suwarno [2] - Renna might win the first match, but surely, she will lose to Sun Yu in the second-round.

XD Q2 - 3 INA pairs have made it to the second round to be played late this afternoon
Muhd Rizky Delynugraha/Sri Wulan Sari vs Kim Dae Eun/Ko A Ra - the KOR pair should have the edge.

Adi Pratama/Nadya Melati [4] vs Han To Sung/Kim Chan Mi - let's see if the Jaya Raya pair can progress to the Main Draw.

Sarayut Saetang/Lam Narissapat vs Lukhi Apri Nugroho/Annisa Saufika [3] - I also hope that the Pelatnas pair is able to make it. Lam Narissapat is still a junior player but she has shown good progress and we should expect to see her again in AJC at the end of June.

Both Maziyyah dan Milicent progressed into last round of qualification but not for Renna Suwarno as she lost to Singaporean Liang Xiaoyu, very close match at first and second game, 28-30 / 22-20 then one sided game at decider 9-21.

You only mentioned one player, Maziyyah dan Millicent. Who is the other?

Oops! very sorry! How silly can I get at times.Didn't occur to me that you wrongly typed "and" as "dan". Went into TS and discovered that Maz and Mili are actually two different players. LOL!

    MS Q2
    Adi Pratama
[6] vs Lu Ching Yao - as expected and I think Adi can progress to the Main Draw and face Loh Wei Sheng.

    WD Q2
    Maziyyah Nadhir
[4] vs Suwannakitborihan Sarita - very surprised to see Maziyyah beating the Korean girl. Maybe she can progress to the Main Draw and the reward will be a match against Sapsiree Taerattanachai [8].

Milicent Wiranto vs Park So Young [3] - again, I don't think Milicent can beat the Korean.

Just one thread solely for Qualifying rounds, won't we be creating too many threads for this not-so-big tournament? How about just one for up to and including the QF and another one for Semis and Finals unless it's a big and popular tourney then break into more threads? Just a thought.:)

Sun Yu, I just saw her name, she's playing in her first International tourney at age 18 ! She's touted as the player to watch, a future world-beater, lets's see how far she can go in her first foray.

How old is Liang Xiaoyu? Must respect the Singapore players who originated from China. Are they being coached by Luan Jin?

Sun Yu already qualified and will play another promising youngster, Spanish Carolina Marin, tomorrow. In her half are two other CHN WS Yao Xue and Wang Lin, as well as a few watchable players Sindhu, Mitani, and Inthanon R whom I regard as one of the frontrunners.

Han Li is the only Chinese in the top half with Saina, slated to meet in R2, a pity for either to lose so early, the winner stands a good chance of sailing to the final.

At the end, only Adi Pratama, Adi Pratama/Nadya Melati and Lukhi Apri Nugroho/Annisa Saufika are through to the Main Draw.

LD is doing his normal routine.

losing first game to Ha Young Woong and then probably devouring him slowly in the 2nd and 3rd.
