Singapore This is what I gathered from Starhub TV (in Singapore) Live Telecast for Thai Open: On 9th & 10th June (SF & Final) Live Telecast for Indo Open On 14th (Thurs) to 17th (Sun) June
Those in Singapore, if you are subscribe to Starhub 'Racket' channel, do help to call (regularly) Starhub at 1633 to 'pressurize' them for more Live Badminton telecast. Thanks
Why did Starhub telecast the Thai Open finals on Channel 202 and not on the usual Channel 211? The programming department should have the common sense and anticipated that there could be an overrun of the live telecast of the boxing match between Pacquiao and Bradley. No thanks to Starhub, badminton fans missed the first part of the XD finals. This is not the first time this has happened.
For INA viewers Local free-air TV TRANS7 as the official broadcaster for INA SSP 2012 will broadcast LIVE : - R/16 (Thursday, 14th June) => starting time : 12.30 - Quarterfinal (Friday, 15th June) => 13.30 - SEMIFINAL (Saturday, 16th June) => 14.30 - FINAL (Sunday, 17th June) => 12.00 *source : http://www.djarumbadminton.com/djar...detail/read/saksikan-diossp-2012-secara-live/
I believed this Thai Badm Live telecast was not scheduled, thus on CH202. I called Starhub to enquire about the Thai & Indo 2 weeks ago, and they only got back to me during the Thai Open week. Most likely Starhub was scrumbling to get us the Live telecast BECAUSE someone asked. I frankly think that with more people in Singapore calling Starhub, they will have more regularly Badm Live Telecast planning, and on CH211.
Thanks for your info. FYI the Thai Open was telecast live last year. I think its great when there is competition from Singtel and was pleasantly surprised that Starhub started to telecast the GP tournaments last year. Did anyone realise that the entire matches are not shown when Starhub telecast repeats of the tournaments? For example viewers might only get to see the first and third games of a XD match of 3 games.
