What do we think? A commenter rightly said "looks like eggs and tomatoes", but i think it just blows the Yonex 2012 uniforms out of the water, completely and utterly. I just wish they could have different shoes. Btw those racket they are holding will not be their own during the OG. Just using those for marketing purposes or something similar.

I like it. Nice colours and a fresh pattern. Looks like the chinese flame is running hot for OG ;).

very nice and appropriate color for the Chinese team.

i do think the Yonex ones stands out more though. we will have to see how they look like on court with green/blue backdrop. this may end up more striking there.

The design doesn't impress me, too unisex. Need more femine dresses ie shorter sleeves and shrunken waist as well as bolder darker colours for men. I cannot imagine why they want male and female uniforms looking the same, maybe I have been away from China for too long.

I also think the flag colours are overdone...sigh, at least they haven't brought back the wide, sleeveless, and straight-collared abominations they call uniforms from Beijing 2008. If you don't know what I am talking about, type in Gao Ling 2008 Olympics in Google search.

A final gripe, I know we don't have the badminton equivalent of Maria Sharapova, but boy, will the ladies try out some stylish attire?

FHF with an N90 and CY with N80. As if the N90 needs any more marketing!?I think they look good, but I also think the 2008 sleeveless tops were good as well...

Sometimes I have the feeling Tennis is more of a fashion show than a sport ... .

I like the fact that in badminton, both male and female players are dressed for the sport and not for some cocktail party.

while i don't believe it should be mandatory (*cough* BWF), i do believe that players should dress smart and be tasteful at it. it is up to their sponsors and the players to decide. and if they decide that players should look super smart, that's great. if the player decides that they should show up dressing plain, that's also fine.

the trend seems to be dressing up more and more trendy as a player though, and i think the sponsors do have a hand on that. and i hope they will do it tastefully and not make it into a fashion show.

Women's tennis is rare combination of speed, grace, and style found in not other women's sport on earth (maybe figure skating then you may as well argue the men look too girlish). If you only want to see people hitting the biggest serve and forehand you will not watch women's tennis. But the fact that millions tune in suggest it works. While I have my own reservations about some outfits ("cough "williams sisters), most others, including the Chinese tennis gals, look great out there.

Better looking attire translate into more profitability which can turn into more sponsorship money to grow the sport. I may not be a purist, but that is how things work.
