Bouna Vista :- slippery ceramic tiles flooring and very warm. Slipperiness could be owing to sweat from players

Cairnhill :- opens on public holidays* ceramic tiles flooring but not so slippery* within 5mins walking distance* from newton MRT.

Henderson :- Though it is ceramic tiles flooring; the surprising part is, it is not slippery unlike most cc. Guess the warden there constantly mop it** One of the best cc for ceramic tiles we ever played*** Walking distance from Tiong Bahru MRT. carpark at blk 111. N.B. Water cooler in cc* Light is not that bad.

Kampong Glam :- Please do not use our court shoes there because the flooring will wear out our shoes "many times" faster than on a parquet floor court or even while we use our shoes to walk on pavement. It is concrete lay with a layer of "sand like material" to make it has the non slip effect* In fact, the regulars there had suggested to wear knee guard cum elbow pads (the kind which is used for cycling or roller blade*) and use old shoes to play. This is because the flooring is super rough and one may bleed and injured badly if have a hard fall*** Sealman suggested players to wear a cushioned pair of badminton shoes and diving is not recommended*. Please note is diving and not driving* haha

Marsiling :- One can do sauna while playing there*** This is because hall is very warm but we can be certain it is not windy* Slippery, ceramic tiles.

Senja-Cashew (parquet floor) :- @ 101 Bukit Panjang Rd, opposite Bukit Panjang Plaza, along Bukit Pajang Ring Road. Park @ 177A MSCP. water cooler.

The Jelutung @ Canberra :- Visited on Sat 23rd June 2012. Nice hall in terms of flooring though not parquet but the sun's rays comes into the hall while we were there @1130am and as a result it is very warm cum hard to see the shuttles. We personally think the best time to play is from 1230pm onwards*** Light is as usual bright for people who go there for the first time but we got used to it after an hour and so is not that bad. However the courts' lines (the lines at the back) cannot e0D be seen cos it is painted yellow and same color as the tiles*

TPY South :- Went there yesterday on Sat 30th July, it is one of the oldest o,d cc in Singapore. Best for one to try book court 1 as court 2 is not good for our eyes. Floor is good (it is tiles as usual*) but felt slippery after played on for more than 40mins, reason unknown*** Sunlight may come into the hall in afternoon as it was pouring yesterday and so we won't know if it does on a sunny day. But, it seems sunlight may come in as the sun comes out a bit around 315pm where our game at 4pm* Can see a bit of sun while we are leaving around 415pm* Take feeder bus 238 from Toa Payoh Bus interchange is the best.

Whampoa :- The court in the center won't be good for playing. Lights alright. so happen was there on a rainy day, it was a bit windy because it rained heavily and there is no door to the main entrance. The court nearer totoilet is glaring in the afternoon*

    ISH

Beatty Sec (parquet floor but very slippery) :-

Bukit View Sec (rubber mat) :- School gate is located at Bukit Batok St 21, park @ blk 212 and 213 as sch is not opened on Sat and Sun. C1 is facing directly the opening of the door. Glass vane when we last went and glaring in the afternoon. Parking in the sch may be still possible on Fridays but booking for sch for Friday is still not yet opened to public.

Clementi Pri/ Sec :- rubber mat. Halls very windy and dirty. need walk about 15mins even if driving >< Not worthwhile to play there. Kent ridge sec would be a better choice. just only take bus 282 and kent ridge no wind at all and clean.

Commonwealth Sec (rubber mat. confirmed by one of our players who play there that the hall is "dirty"*** both in the toilet and in the hall. They must book there because all other sch halls had been taken*** One more point to take note, the hall is windy ) :- Not trying it as info is given by reliable friend. Seems difficult to access it via public transport compared to Kent Ridge.

Crescent Girls (parquet floor<---click to see the pictures of hall*) :- The hall looks nice from the picture but it is not as good as Kent Ridge's*** Entrance is only via along Prince Charles Crescent and not Tanglin Road. Must turn left upon seeing in the same direction as Tanglin View Condo. Parking is along Prince Philip Ave and not free on Sun. Not sure if can park else where. Think almost same walking distance as to Queenstown Secondary School from Redhill Mrt but nearer and should be around 10mins. Courts 1 and 4 are windy. Avoidcourt 4 because water cooler is located just outside it and seems very windy. Once we open the door iscourt 1and thus maybe that is partly why court 1 is windy* Male toilet is one storey above. Think because the hall is not as tall as Kent Ridge's thus wind still able to come in and affect our game greatly. But however both Queenstown Sec ISH and this ISH is somehow hit by the strong breeze. Like to side track a bit, living nearby here seem good at this moment***

Endeavour Primary :-About 7-10mins walking distance from Sembawang Mrt.
Both walking and driving can come via Canberra Road and entrance of hall is near Blk 425, park at MSCP 424A. One can also park at MSCP at blk 508 and have meal at blk 511 or buy isotonic drink then walk over. Rubbermat flooring. Avoid to book court 1 for game because the rubber mat on court 1 has a lump. Court 4 is so called facing the door, at least about 1/3 of the court maybe affected by the opening of door.

Jurong Sec (parquet floor<---click to see the pictures of hall*) :- Never been there but just provide the info**

Kent Ridge Sec (parquet floor) :- Entrance of ISH is at heavy vehicles car-park of West Coast Link near West Bay Condo.
One may park outside the entrance to ISH but may get summons ($50) as parking is only for heavy vehicles.
However parking for motorcycles is free on Sundays.
Recommended parking is at blk 720 carpark but one has to go there early to look for lots.
This is because there are 4 coffee shops, 1 hawker centre and Sheng Siong thus need to queue for lots.

Take bus 282 from clementi interchange and press the bell after the 6th stop when see Seng Siong Supermarket on our left and alight on the 6th stop.

N.B. Can get our isotonic drink there.
The school has an unique green color roof and it is on the right side of clementi west st 2.
Cross the road and over canal using the bridge into the car-park where coaches, lorries parked there.
Walk a bit more and keep left, the entrance is somewhere near the middle of the carpark.
We would be very near the entrance of ISH when we can see the name of the school on our left.

If alight along West Coast Rd bus stop, buses are: 30,51,143,175,189.
But one will have to walk a big round to the entrance of ISH and it is not possible to cut through it.

Nan Hua High (parquet floor) :- was there on Sun 19 Aug 12. Gate of ISH is directly opposite the entrance of the church. Saw many parking along road side illegally when we come out at 4++* Lights a bit glaring and court 4 is where main entrance to hall is. Never try C1 2 3 and not sure if glaring. Open air car park is free parking on Sundays and believed is at Blk 401 and 402.

Queenstown Sec (rubber mat but is usually windy at court 4) :- Driving, enter thru Strathmore Road. By bus, enter via Clarence lane turn left. Park @ 129A MSCP. C1 is facing the opening of the door but not directly. Windy hall at times*** Hall have been closed for more than a year and time for us to write in to find out the status.

Queensway Sec (parquet floor. white wall and bright lights causing hard to see the shuttles. windy despite we closed all the windows; think wind comes from near roof area) :- Gate is directly opp queenstown cc, just before soccer field - walk from Commonwealth MRT is the nearest.

St Gabriel Sec (parquet floor. Windy hall but normally gets better after 6pm on Saturdays that we were there.) Come out from exit A of Serangoon Mrt turn right after out on the pavement and walk along it till can see the football field of the school but do not enter the entrance to the field as it does not link to the school hall. Must turn right walk towards the play ground then turn left will be able to see entrance of the hall. It is opp Semi-Detached houses of Lor Gambir. By vehicle is must turn left upon facing the football field and enter via Jln Rindu then Jln Penchalak or enter via Bartley Road then GambirWalk.Court 4 is the court near door to the courts. Best not to take court 1.

Woodlands Sec (it looks it is parquet floor from the picture<---click it to view) :- not sure if hall is sauna like Marsiling cc** If it is not, then book it instead of Marsiling cc for Fri 7-9 Sat 3-9 Sun 9-9 as sch is just beside cc It opens on public holidays unlike most cc and has lesser function*

Yio Chu Kang Secondary School (had confirmed it is not "wooden flooring" and being informed it is "slippery" *** by more than one person but hall is not windy though) Cannot park inside school compound whereas one can park inside the school for Bukit View Sec (previously while we there years back on Fri but booking on Fri is still not opened for Bukit View Sec) From school which is on our left (of cos that is if we are driving), turn left at traffic light and another left into car park. Entrance of ISH is just near where we park our car.
It is also within walking distance from Yio Chu Kang Mrt especially when one cannot get courts at yck sports hall but is much further.

    Sports Halls

Bishan (slippery and lights glaring) :- about 7-10mins walking distance from Bishan Mrt. Come out from exit D if coming via circle line CC15 and walk towards Bishan Place on the left. If via north south line is NS 17, walk towards Junction 8 taxi stand which is along Bishan Place; then go straight and turn right to Bishan St 14 and cross the road to the hall. Parking is at open air or basement car park. We host our games there every Tuesand Wed night 8-10pm irregardless if it is a public holiday.

Chua Chu Kang <--- Walking distance from Yee Tee mrt or take bus 307 from Chua Chu Kang interchange. Alight on the 4th bus stop excluding the one at interchange. Floor quite slippery and please try avoid take court 5 unless really need to swing swing as the exhaust wind that comes out at court 5 is too strong. Court 3 and 4 should be the "best"

Clementi :- 5mins from MRT excluding huge human traffic volume (windy hall* with some courts' lights glaring) :- Hall looks much better after the maintenance job which includes painting of the wall of the hall. Hall not windy during rainy session***

Delta (flooring now not as good as before and believed is because of lack of maintenance, lights so so and glaring to some) :- About 7-10 mins walk to the hall from Redhill Mrt. Will reach the pool first before seeing the hall. Only the car park near blk 101 and 102 Alexandra road is free parking on Sunday, not sure about open air car park and MSCP near the pool. C1 2 will be slightly windy depending on season as a door near to water cooler is always open ><
Avoid c 1 4 if playing in afternoon (2-5) as it is glaring cos near windows. Then also try not take c 2 3 fr 5 to about 7 as the sunlight while the sun sets will shoot inton these two courts.
Delta will be closed for at least two months and that had started from yesterday.

Jurong East:- About 10mins walking distance from Chinese Garden mrt. (was "sauna" hall but not while we were there on Mon 11 Nov 13 as windows are opened) Can walk from Chinese garden Mrt. C5 is the court near to the entrance. C1's light is dim. C6 is near to C1 but not dim. C6 and 7 are near to audience seats then 1 2 3 4 5 are one column. Feeling is not as fantastic as we were there many years back.
Courts to avoid for afternoon session may be 1 and 5. 5 is near door and seems windy. 1 is the glare from window.

Jurong West :- About 15mins walking distance from Pioneer mrt right to the badminton hall and not just the building. (so called a "far away" hall and windy according to many players' feedback ***)
    Best courts there are 6 and 7. Avoid c 1, 4, 10, 12 if possible ***

Toa Payoh :- Water cooler is not in same bldg. C2 is facing directly the entrance of the hall and will be windy if one does not draw the curtain before closing the door. C3 is slightly affected too. C1's light is dim. Parking is just in front of the hall.

Yio Chu Kang :- 5mins walk from mrt. Come out from mrt turn left and walk towards Bus terminal. Then go straight walk towards and cut through Squash and tennis centre which is on the left. Hall is a funny round bldg but parking is just in front of the hall. Though walk from mrt is about 10mins, it is quite "deep in"*. Good to avoid court 5 as that area is "dark"***

Woodlands :- No more super big spot lights resulting temporary "blindness" to the shuttles as we last visited it on Thurs 17 April 2014 *** 2 bus stops away from Marsiling Mrt to the hall. 1 and 6 are on the side and seem not as good as other courts there. Not that windy but was told it is always windy as entrance is only via "heavy curtains" and do avoid c3 4 because once open the curtains is will be facing these two courts ***

Blk 108, MSCP, 6th floor SPRC :- We personally would like to "warn" all who are keen to play at this hall that the floor is very slippery

The buses from the nearest bus stop (along kampong Bahru road) to this place are:-
    61, 124, 143, 147, 166, 167, 196, 197 and 961. Then, walk in thru the sheltered pavement along Blair road.

Coming via MRT will exit at Outram park, Cantonment Exit G and walk to the hall (the walk is around 15mins and treat it as warm up)

Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore :- On the 5th Floor of IRAS bldg. (nearest Mrt, Novena. Wooden flooring with air-con and advisable to sit away from where the air con can reach us.
Best to sit on the stage area as it is far away from the air con wind. Disadvantage of air con court is our body will tend to cool very fast and will need to constantly spray "deep heat" to keep muscles warm unless it is a "non- stop" session example 4 persons doubles or 2 persons singles *** Personally think not more than 10 players for the two courts will be an enjoyable session.

Singapore Sports Hub :- Courts are allocated by random which means may have to play c2 8-9 then c 8 9-10 ***
Was told the air con drift seems not longer that strong but also depends on which courts we were being allocated by system***
So far Safari is our recommenced browser to try book it. Must have a lot of patience if wish book there.

Hopefully we can have the time to update to click on the name of the hall to view map of location soon

    Community Centres

Gan Eng Seng Sec :- very difficult to find entrance to ISH but is very easy to book there *** environment of hall isn't good too.

Hall is so much more windy in afternoon than at night.
Best courts there are 6 and 7. Avoid c 1-4, 10, 12 if possible *** Court 5 maybe alright at night.

    Others
