Cairnhill :- opens on public holidays* ceramic tiles flooring but not so slippery* within 5mins walking distance* from newton MRT.
Henderson :- Though it is ceramic tiles flooring; the surprising part is, it is not slippery unlike most cc. Guess the warden there constantly mop it** One of the best cc for ceramic tiles we ever played*** Walking distance from Tiong Bahru MRT. carpark at blk 111. N.B. Water cooler in cc* Light is not that bad.
Kampong Glam :- Please do not wear our "new" court shoes there because the flooring will wear out our shoes "many times" faster than on a parquet floor court or even while we use our shoes to walk on pavement. It is concrete lay with a layer of "sand" to make it has the non slip effect* In fact, the regular there suggested to wear knee guard cum elbow pads (the kind which is used for cycling or roller blade*) and use old shoes to play. This is because the flooring is super rough and one may bleed and injured badly if have a hard fall*** Sealman suggested players to wear a cushioned pair of badminton shoes and diving is not recommended*. Please note is diving and not driving* haha
Marsiling :- One can do sauna while playing there*** This is because hall is very warm but we can be certain it is not windy* Slippery, ceramic tiles.
Senja-Cashew (parquet floor) :- @ 101 Bukit Panjang Rd, opposite Bukit Panjang Plaza, along Bukit Pajang Ring Road. Park @ 177A MSCP. water cooler.
The Jelutung @ Canberra :- Visited on Sat 23rd June 2012. Nice hall in terms of flooring though not parquet but the sun's rays comes into the hall while we were there @1130am and as a result it is very warm cum hard to see the shuttles. We personally think the best time to play is from 1230pm onwards*** Light is as usual bright for people who go there for the first time but we got used to it after an hour and so is not that bad. However the courts' lines (the lines at the back) cannot e0D be seen cos it is painted yellow and same color as the tiles*
TPY South :- Went there yesterday on Sat 30th July, it is one of the oldest o,d cc in Singapore. Best for one to try book court 1 as court 2 is not good for our eyes. Floor is good (it is tiles as usual*) but felt slippery after played on for more than 40mins, reason unknown*** Sunlight may come into the hall in afternoon as it was pouring yesterday and so we won't know if it does on a sunny day. But, it seems sunlight may come in as the sun comes out a bit around 315pm where our game at 4pm* Can see a bit of sun while we are leaving around 415pm* Take feeder bus 238 from Toa Payoh Bus interchange is the best.
Whampoa :- The court in the center won't be good for playing. Lights alright. so happen was there on a rainy day, it was a bit windy because it rained heavily and there is no door to the main entrance. The court nearer to toilet is glaring in the afternoon*
ISH
Beatty Sec (parquet floor but very slippery) :-
Bukit View Sec (rubber mat) :- School gate is located at Bukit Batok St 21, park @ blk 212 and 213 as sch is not opened on Sat and Sun. C1 is facing directly the opening of the door.
Commonwealth Sec (floor unknown) :- We may be trying it soon.
Crescent Girls (parquet floor<---click to see the pictures of hall*) :- The hall looks nice from the picture but it is not as good as Kent Ridge's*** Entrance is only via along Prince Charles Crescent and not Tanglin Road. Must turn left upon seeing in the same direction as Tanglin View Condo. Parking is along Prince Philip Ave and not free on Sun. Not sure if can park else where. Think almost same walking distance as to Queenstown Secondary School from Redhill Mrt but nearer and should be around 10mins. Courts 1 and 4 are windy. Avoid court 4 because water cooler is located just outside it and seems very windy. Once we open the door is court 1 and thus maybe that is partly why court 1 is windy* Male toilet is one storey above. Think because the hall is not as tall as Kent Ridge's thus wind still able to come in and affect our game greatly. But however both Queenstown Sec ISH and this ISH is somehow hit by the strong breeze. Like to side track a bit, living nearby here seem good at this moment***
Endeavour Primary :- Entrance to ISH is near blk 425 but park at MSCP at blk 424A. It is very near to walk from the car park to the ISH. One can also park at MSCP at blk 508 and have meal at blk 511 or buy isotonic drink then walk over. Rubber mat flooring but however is a bit slippery on court while we play on Sun, 2nd September. Wonder if rubber mat able to mop*** Avoid to book court 1 because the rubber mat on court 1 has a lump and it seems no one has complained as we observed the mat is very dirty cum old>< Looks we will have to do that "dirty job" to "complain". Court 4 is so called facing the door, at least about 1/3 of the court maybe affected by the opening of door. Thus may leave us only two courts to book***
Jurong Sec (parquet floor<---click to see the pictures of hall*) :- Never been there but just provide the info**
Kent Ridge Sec (parquet floor) :- Entrance is at open air car-park of West Coast Link for coaches, we need park near Seng Siong @ blk 721
Nan Hua High (parquet floor) :- was there on Sun 19 Aug 12. Gate of ISH is directly opposite the entrance of the church. Saw many parking along road side illegally when we come out at 4++* Lights a bit glaring and court 4 is where main entrance to hall is. Never try C1 2 3 and not sure if glaring. Open air car park is free parking on Sundays and believed is at Blk 401 and 402.
Queenstown Sec (rubber mat but is usually windy at court 4) :- Driving, enter thru Strathmore Road. By bus, enter via Clarence lane turn left. Park @ 129A MSCP. C1 is facing the opening of the door but not directly
Windy hall at times***
Queensway Sec (parquet floor. white wall and bright lights causing hard to see the shuttles. windy despite we closed all the windows; think wind comes from near roof area) :- Gate is directly opp queenstown cc, just before soccer field - walk from Commonwealth MRT is the nearest
Woodlands Sec (it looks it is parquet floor from the picture<---click it to view) :- not sure if hall is sauna like Marsiling cc** If it is not, then book it instead of Marsiling cc for Fri 7-9 Sat 3-9 Sun 9-9 as sch is just beside cc
It opens on public holidays unlike most cc and has lesser function*
Sports Halls
Bishan (slippery and lights glaring) :- about 7-10mins walking distance from Bishan Mrt. Come out from exit D if coming via circle line CC15 and walk towards Bishan Place on the left. If via north south line is NS 17, walk towards Junction 8 taxi stand which is along Bishan Place; then go straight and turn right to Bishan St 14 and cross the road to the hall. Parking is at open air or basement car park. We host our games there every Tues and Wed night 8-10pm irregardless if it is a public holiday.
Delta (flooring good after maintenance, lights so so and glaring to some) :- About 7-10 mins walk to the hall from Redhill Mrt. Will reach the pool first before seeing the hall. Only the car park near blk 101 and 102 Alexandra road is free parking on Sunday, not sure about open air car park and MSCP near the pool.
Clementi (windy hall* with some courts' lights glaring) :- The warden sounding the bell to alert patrons to leave early had improved. Hall not windy during rainy session***
Toa Payoh :- Water cooler is not in same bldg. C2 is facing directly the entrance of the hall and will be windy if one does not draw the curtain before closing the door. C3 is slightly affected too. C1's light is dim. Parking is just in front of the hall.
Yio Chu Kang :- Hall is a funny round bldg but parking is just in front of the hall. Though walk from mrt is about 10mins, it is quite "deep in"*.
Woodlands :- Super big spot lights resulting temporary "blindness" to the shuttles *** We last remembered it is nearer to walk from Marsiling Mrt to the hall than Woodlands.

Wonder if after new lights change in end of Jan 2013 will help reduce the Glariness of court 15 16 at Clementi Sports Hall and also improve the light condition at court 12 13
