Sung JH vs Wang Xin. WSX vs Saina. WYH vs Tine. LXR vs Juliane. BoMo vs Chai/Guo. All great stuff.

WSX vs Saina will be the most interesting. Does WSX still have a chance to go to London?

    Also:

Dino v/s Sleepy Simon. Dino played a dream game against Ajay Jayaram; lets see how he fares against his compatriot; actually, let's see which Simon turns up! :D

DPY v/s SDK. Sony cannot afford to take this guy lightly. But may the force be with Sony!

Kashyap v/s HKV. PK holds a 2-1 h-h against the Dane, but all stats become meaningless when you reach a QF stage of a PSS, especially at the Istora! :p

BYX/ZQX v/s KHN/JKE, the Koreans will be wanting to solidify their present ascendancy over the young Chinese pair. Expect all-out warfare! :D

ZN/ZYL v/s Sudket/Saralee. Please, please please! Let the Air Force lift this title just once!!!

Watching their last match, the Koreans may struggle. I hope they find their form again by the time they walk on court.

Whereas for me, the 3 MD games on TV court are gonna be interesting. Will see how Ah How and Ah Koo do in their respective games, and BoMo vs ChaiGuo should entertain.

The Koreans have proven to be very resilient even when their form is a little off. The CHN pair is still quite unpolished and have not had the same exposure as the Koreans. As much as I like BYX, I like JKE even more :p. I think it's advantage Koeaa

I think if WSX loses to Saina tonight, it could be the final nail in her coffin. She will be forced, no questions asked, to retool her game a la WYH and earn her pot back on the team.

That said, I have not been that impressed with Saina's play. She seems to be playing under a lot of pressure and it shows.

WYH v Tine. Hard one to call
WX v SJH. I think WX has the edge although it's always difficult to play against SJH
LXR v Schenk. I think LXR will rumble past Schenk quite easily

3 spots are guaranteed for INA in the SF: 1 each in MS, MD, and XD. 2 more to fight for in MS and WD.

    MS QF
Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka vs Simon Santoso [7] - with the exits of Chen Long and Chen Jin, Simon is now the highest seed left in the Draw. I hope he can progress to at least the Final. Hayom also deserves the credit for progressing to QF....let's pray that he can be more consistent in the near future.

Du Pengyu [8] vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro - Sony's revival has raised a few eyebrows and he does still have what it takes to win the title.

    MD QF
    Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan
vs Rian Sukmawan/Rendra Wijaya - Kido/Hendra to progress to the SF and face Jung/Lee.

    WD QF
    Satoko Suetsuna/Miyuki Maeda
[8] vs Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii - the INA pair has never beaten the Japanese pair. Will the home crowd be one factor that can overturn the 0-4 record at the moment?

    XD QF
Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth vs Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [3] - the home favorite has yet to impress but they will still fulfill their seeding and possibly face Xu Chen/Ma Jin for a preview of the London Olympics medal-rounds match since the draw for the Olympics will likely pit them against either CHN pair in the SF.

    half an hour to go.....

lemme just finish my dinner, grab my XXXL coffee (black, 6 sugars just to be safe) and find a place where no one will hear me shouting, and I'm ready. Istora, please begin the sound check! :p

I also find it hard to pick the winner for WS in QF.
All the WS players have some ups & downs in this tournament till date.
I only picked LXR to win because she have a 4-0 record against Juliane, and she is the on form lady at this moment.
From the QF WS schedule, I believe all 3 China WS (WYH, WX & LXR) will finish play before WSX. If any of the 3 fails, then WSX may be more motivated to win against Saina (to get an Olympic 2012 spot).
