my friend has this illness where his hands would sweat profusely as if he'd washed his hands and didn't dry it. no grip can solve his problem. it would be too costly to change the overgrip after every session, towel grip got soaked as if someone poured water all over it, literally. and the grip powder just makes a big o mess for him. anyone who has the disease also has a solution to the problem???
There is a real phenmenom like this. It's not just a sweaty guy, but a condition called hyperhidrosis. Some require a surgery where they have to cut some of the deep autonomic nerves to give relief.
I know some people who also sweat a lot (perhaps not quite as much as this). I don't know that they have any easy solution but some of them have a hand towel they put on the sidelines and use every few points or so.
If even towel grip cant help...nothing can....like wat tobradex mentioned, get a hand towel and put on the sidelines to wipe every few mins
I have sweaty palm and sweat a lot when playing for 2 hours. My best solution is to have 3 same rackets with gosen 107 tacky grip. Every game I change racket and keep rotating all 3. It work well for me.
Keep a towel and just wipe off the hand every few points. A wrist band will help with the forearm sweat dripping down to the hand. Baby powder also works well if the actually grip powder is too messy.
that's exactly what he has, he doesn't sweat much the rest of the body, and not enough on the arms to be dripping, but his hands, man it's like he just washed his hands and didn't dry it!!!
dang i can't imagine his opponents shaking hands with him after the game! but seriously, as dr. fidget says, hyperhidrosis of this severity can occur and requires aggresive treatments like nerve surgery however, if he's serious about getting treatment... i'm sure it'll help his social life too ... he should also look into botulinum toxin injection into the palms. it won't be as big a deal as surgery, but it'll work for 6-12 months.
He could try the Yonex AC145EX. I wrote some thoughts about this grip about a year ago in this thread http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...-Water-Fit-Grip-(AC145EX)?highlight=water fit Also, it might help if he has more than one racket. This he can play with one while letting the other ones dry.
yea i don't think he's that serious and he doesn't like the aftermath of applying grip powder. a wrist band might help if he wipes his hand on the wrist band all the time, but basically, he sweat so much that when you look at his hand, it looked like he's just washed his hands without drying, all the time. basically i told him that i would help him replace his original grip from time to time so that the sweat don't seep into the core handle which is just wood.
Perhaps ur fren might want to change the wrist band & top after 2 to 3 games.I also have this sweaty problems, when i play the court will have water driplets ard. So, it's quite bad for me. I just change my soaked clothings after every 3 to 4 games and a new wrist band.
