Seems like club hours during weekday mornings or afternoons are quite rare. Anyone know where I can play during these hours in the GTA? preferably near Markham or Richmond Hill.

Looking for advanced recreational levels. No preference on feather or plastic. Haven't played for 3 years now, however relative to tournament players, I was ~ Ontario C-D level.

Everydaybadminton - Open during morning and afternoon hours, but I do not know anyone that plays there during the day.
    It's located at:
    330 Steelcase Rd E Markham, ON L3R 1G2

Limited328 is right. Everydaybadminton is opened during morning and noon for weekdays.
The other venue is Agincourt Open Badminton, but that's in Scarborough.

Other that Everyday, there are Mandarin and Lee's in Markham.
But you need to be a member to play at these clubs.

When it comes to advance recreational levels, that's gonna be tough.
In my opinion, folks that go to Everydaybadminton during weekdays are possibly average or intemediate players.

That's the thing with drop-ins. You can never find the right people to play with. There is never a standard for level of play. I've dropped in to a few places, and the level of play for High-Intermediate can vary drastically.
MB111 is right with those places as well. Been to Lee's in Markham. It's a nice place but not the palce. I'd rather go to "Flying Dragon", which both of us forgot to mention=p.
    Happy hunting and definitely smashing=)

Thanks for the replies. I'm fine with paying for membership at the badminton facilities if it means they have regular clubs hours there. If I don't have to bring my own players, that would be easiest. I think I'd be ok with intermediate levels, particularly since I need time to get back into badminton shape.

I have played at many clubs before at the typical time slots, but now I'm more limited to weekday daytime.

Are you still interested to play? I am very close to this facility:
    http://www.c2badminton.com/
    C2 Badminton Club Inc.
    1300 Rodick Rd UnitD
    10:00-18:00 $5
I work from home and can take a "work break" from either 10:00-11:30 or 12:00-15:00 as they have free WiFi to monitor work.

Everyday Badminton has moved to 480 Hood Road. But I agree with the previous posts, I have seen the drop ins during the day. They are just there to do sports, not so much in skills. I have seen a few groups though that play pretty decently, but that is during the Sat night drop-ins.
