Which Chinese WS players will go to Olympics?

WX's H2H records against your supposed R16 players are as follows:

WX vs TTY [10]: 1 - 2
WX vs Ratchanok [9]: 1 - 0
WX vs CSC [7] : 2 - 0
WX vs JS [6]: 3-1

The numbers in square bracket above are their respective seeding for the Olympics.

Only TTY has an advantage over WX. For TTY to defeat WX in the round of 16, the following must happen:

Condition (1) : TTY are drawn into Group O (one in eight chance, ie, 12.5% chance);
Condition (2) : TTY finishes first in Group O, and
Condition (3) : TTY defeating WX in the round of 16 itself.

What is the possibility of all three of the above will happen?

BTW, JS who is seeded no. 6 cannot be drawn into Group O.

Maybe in the group stage WX will prevail without any problem. Her round 16 encounter with any of the three players has a high possibility. That match will be a nail biting encounter. Also even if she made it, she might not even meet Baun in the QF, she might meet Sung or Schenk who btw have beaten her recently (Sung beat her twice in the row already)

Less than 30 days into the Olympics and I am sure they have to start packing their bags soon to London in two weeks.

Do not tell me four of them will go to London together only to find out in the very last minute before the draw is released who will stay in the hotel.

I think their chances of winning the gold now is zero. Indecisiveness and uncertaintites will lead them to their doom.

WX is assigned to Group P (since she is seed no.2). To meet WX in the round of 16, you must be drawn into Group O (ie, seeds 9/16). Seeds No. 5/8 will be drawn into Group C, G, J and N.

Juliane is seed no. 6. while CSC is seed no. 7.

So Juliane and CSC will not meet WX in round of 16.

Ok, then CSC/Schenk might meet WX in the QF, very high possibility. China should not just think of using WX to dispose Baun and must train her to overcome her other opponents.

She has not been producing results lately apart from Uber Cup. I am still not convinced by leaving her alone in the bottom half of the draw without another Chinese there. If it's WSX, maybe I could lay some faith in her because she can handle the pressure.

Still China cannot leave their trump card, WYH alone in the upper draw, LXR must be there to eliminate her semifinal opponent for her.

Because she is the trump card, it's even more important to have another chinese to help her reach the gold medal match. We do not want any accident to happen.

Remember they are not out there to prove anything or whoever about their skills. Olympics is all about securing the gold for the country in China's perspective
