Predictions for matches involving INA players: MS QF Viktor Axelsen vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro - Sony is definitely in the right track after 2 consecutive QFs at SS level tourneys. He has a good chance at the title. Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka vs Boonsak Ponsana - Hayom is also good to progress to his first SS SF. MD QF Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [4] vs Goh V. Shem/Lim Khim Wah - yet another MAS pair to beat and Kido/Hendra better don't play like the first-set yesterday. Hirokatsu Hashimoto/Noriyasu Hirata [8] vs Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan [3] - I am not sure why INA pairs finding it difficult to beat Hashimoto/Hirata. A good result is crucial here for Bona/Ahsan if they want to convince us that they are worthy to go to the London Olympics. WD QF Meiliana Jauhari/Greysia Polii [8] vs Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Anneke Feinya Agustine - an all-INA battle and Mel/Grace have yet to be beaten by their juniors before. XD QF Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati vs Shoji Sato/Shizuka Matsuo - Fran/Shendy need a breakthrough result. I am really hoping they can beat the Japanese pair. Shintaro Ikeda/Reiko Shiota [5] vs Hendra Setiawan/Vita Marissa - if Hendra/Vita can win this one, it will mark a milestone for this partnership (6th tourney here).
Lol, I agree. Even with many top players skipping Singapore Open, it looks like this is the last day for MAS players.
really, it usually happen every tournament that not more than one representative will make it to SF unless all of them are LCW...
Axel (F) sure going to be more than Peter Gade in future... hope Goh/Lim not gonna do the same mistakes from yesterday Ah How/Ah Tan took game 1 and then went to lose in rubber game...
Nobody thinks Daren Liew can beat Nguyen? He's been impressive in past few tournaments..but of course normally fizzle off after 1 big upset.
Nguyen is a losing player against the best players... but somehow always grind out wins against others. Just saw that he has a 3-0 record against Daren, coincidentally all 3 games played in Vietnam.
Yes, it's there now http://www.badmintonlink.com/Watch-Badminton-Live-Stream/2012_Li_Ning_Singapore_Open
