    Default Possible horror group draws

    MS
Any of the top 16 players (the seeds) can be drawn with both Boonsak and Kashyap in his group. That would be a disaster for the seed.

    WS
The top 16 seeds can hold their own, but they would want to avoid Firdasari and Tee Jing Yi in their group.

    MD
Any of the 4 seeds with any 3 of Chai/Guo, Bohsan and KKK/TBH, Fang/Lee. Horror!

    WD
Any of the 4 seeds with any 3 of Chien/Cheng, Jauhari/Polii, Sari/Yao, Maeda/Suetsuna, Jung/Kim, Juhl/Pedersen. In fact, we can have two horror groups.

    XD
    Any of the 4 seeds with any 3 from ranks 5 to 8 (Chen/Cheng, Laybourn/Juhl, LYD/HJE, Sudket/Saralee)

Moral of the story: Doubles should have 8 seeds (even if there are 16 pairs in the draw only).

Imagine if the pairs ranked 4, 5, 6 and 7 are put in the same group. Only two can go on to the QF.

Since the knockout begins in QF (8 pairs), I think there should be 8 seeds.

Imagine the draw such as follows:
    A: Zhang/Zhao, Adcock/Bankier, Diju/Gutta, Nikolaenko/Sorokina
    B: Nielsen/Pedersen, LYD/HJE, Chan/Goh, Ikeda/Shiota (minor horror)
    C: Tontowi/Butet, Chen/Cheng, Laybourn/Juhl, Sudket/Saralee (HORROR!)
    D: Xu/Ma, Fuchs/Michels, Mateusiak/Zieba, Toby/Grace

    Singles are alright.

Default It's not so horrifying in doubles category (for Chinese to say the least)

Imagine if ZZ or Xu/Ma lost to a dark horse, they could still recover by beating other pairs plus the dark horses are not consistent to even win the group. The group format is actually advantageous to the Chinese pairs.

WS is still alright. MS is horrifying yes. Lee Chong Wei/Lin Dan could escape from playing the dark horses until the QF based on their seeds.

Boonsak and Kashyap are not scary to be honest. Kevin Cordon is the true Dark Horse

Nah you overestimated Jwala Gupta. She is not that good without Ponnapa.

Group C is better than watching Scary Movie 4.

    Poor Towi/Natsir.

If group A was drawn like that it would be a nightmare for us Brits, Indians beat us easy before, Russians for sure could beat us and zz/zyl also. We might finish bottom of the group!

GBR could make it. Home advantage always help the British to excel for some reason.

With those movies, it's even out of range for carbon dating.
