Does anyone know who has been or is currently the highest jumper in badminton? I imagine players jump the highest when playing men's doubles, but i could be wrong. does anyone know?

that is a pretty high jump... it is hard to see from that angle exactly how high he is jumping, but clearly impressive. anyone else? I was going to guess sigit budiarto as well, but my knowledge is not as expansive as some.

LOL, blckknght, the photo of Lee Dong Soo jump smashing in that foto was actually edited by BRL to exaggerate the jump. Read the comic caption underneath the 2nd foto. If he could really jump that high, he might as well go into the NBA!!

I think the highest I've ever seen was Sigit.

I think I observe the same thing with Sigit. I'd love to see Haryanto Arbi play, but unfortunately i've never had that opportunity. If I ever get the chance to travel out to an international tournament you can bet i'll bring my SLR and a dozen rolls of film...

I saw Heryanto Arbi at the WC in 95 (in Lausanne, Switzerland), and he surely jumped very high... his jump smashs were truly impressive!!

Well, do you mean highest jumper in absolute terms, or in proportion to body height?

Anyway, Yap Kim Hock was really really short, but his jumps were probably the most impressive I've seen... (well, in relation to body height at least)

Rasmussen is another great jumper. Check this recent photo out, for instance: [IMG]
