Here it is... Indonesian Open 2003 results:

Men Singles: Chen Hong - Taufik Hidayat: 9/15 9/15
(the local hero did it again...just as last year, Taufik wins the final from Chen Hong and again claims title in indonesian open)

Ladies Singles: Wang Chen - Xie Xingfang :
(unexpected final, second game is being played now - please post results when known)

    Men Doubles: YANG SANG/BO ZHENG - TEERAWIWATANA/PANVISVAS : 16/17-17/15-15/5
(can't remember the chinese winning men doubles here before, must be a long time ago..)

    Mixed Doubles: Kim/Ra - Zhang/Gao: 10/15-15/11-15/6
(as expected, but it took a bit more effort this time for Kim & Ra)

Ladies Doubles: GAO/HUANG - YANG/ZHANG: Gao/Huang won by walk over due to a hip injury of Yang Wei (that previously caused her a reprimand at the world championships)

Actually, they won the Malaysian Title last year. Chen/Liu lost in the Round of 16 in last year's Indo Open to Lee Dong Soo and Yoo Yong Sung.

    Men doubles

Indeed, you're confused with the Malaysian open, SmartCivet.
I don't think the Chinese ever won men doubles in IO.

In last year's Indonesian Open (2002) Yoo/Lee won in the final from Limpele/Hian: 15/10 15/11.

In 2001: Candra Wijaya and Sigit Budiarto beat Tony Gunawan and Halim Haryanto

    In 2000: Candra Wijaya/Tony Gunawan beat Flandi Limpele/Eng Hian: 14-17, 15-6, 15-8

1999 and 1998 I don't remember. Annoying that the "new" worldbadminton.net only shows results from the past 15 months.

In 1997 Ricky Ahmad Subagja & Rexy Mainaky beat Candra Wijaya & Tony Gunawan 15:12, 15:8

    Ladies Singles

Xie Xingfang indeed won from Wang Chen,
although it took three games: 11/6 8/11 11/1

Any reports from people who saw the match?

Does anyone have videos or photos available perhaps of any of the matches?

    Yes.I misremember the result.
They are got the MD title in the malaysia open not in the indonesia open.

I surprised the indonesian only get one tile in the open held in their own country.

Yes, it's nice that Taufik took his title, but Indonesia did not perform optimal in traditionally their strongest event (MD). Budiarto should focus so that he and Wijaya can put their act together again. Limpele/Hian need some more tournament practice for the moment. Let's see what the Malaysian Open will bring this year...
