Seems like Misbun commented that Lee Chong Wei will be Msia's new star.

Now Lee is even smaller than Ong Ewe Hock, skinny and short and may well

be a male version of Gong Zhi Chao. Never saw him except fr clips on TV.

    Revival of Eddy Choong ?

Have not seen Lee CW play but according to my friends, he is plays a thinking game rather than power play to oust Wong CH in the national championship.
Hope to see him in action in near future.

Surprised to learn that not a few Malaysian fans have not seen Lee Chong Wei in action.

I was fortunate to watch this relatively small-built Malaysian Champion play in the recent S'pore Open and must say I was impressed by his agility, fine strokes and as you have mentioned, his thinking game. How else to be able to defeat fellow countryman, Wong Choon Hann?

However, I only hope he is bigger and stronger to be able to make a big impact at the world scene. Unlike the ladies singles, there are more powerful men players to contend with at the international stage.

I think chong wei is pretty tall..he used to be shorter a few years ago at the world jrs. but recently ive noticed he has grown a bit. i think hes about 5'8" or so

Lets see how he matches up against Bao in Msia Open,

that will be a good benchmark for him.

    Speed vs craft.

Then hope he can play Taufik sometime to see

    how his skill compares.

"Thinking" player.. Yup, Similiar style with Arif Latif.. And they both were considered "shortie & skinny" too...

:D:D, sharp, Samuel. You were the one who said "thinking" player. + Arif has older "shortie" bro Zakry to show him shorties can make the squad in the world of baddy.

Hmmm, a relatively reliable way to see if Arif can be the next LCW is to see the way Arif is playing now and then compare it with how LCW was playing at Arif's age. If the skill level is similar, then it's all about how much Arif can develop already.
