I love it! This would be great for working on consistency without constantly having to pick up the bird after a miss and you can train by yourself as shown in the second video. $300? I would definitely buy this for my team.

Interesting. I wonder if I can create it myself with an old fishing pole, fishing line, plastic birdie, tripod and duct tape.

I think it's pretty limited. The physics doesn't really resemble badminton, after all. Doesn't mean there isn't a use for it, naturally. But it wouldn't be the first thing to buy :p

It might be good to use by yourself. Might help speed up your reaction time for drive rallies and train you to keep your racket up. I don't see myself using that thing on the courts. Maybe in my backyard.

the only use i see for it is practicing technique by yourself...can't really do too much else with it.

if someone buys it/makes their own, it would be nice to hear some feedback on the product. i just don't have any fishing poles....

That really is the whole point of the thing, practicing alone. There isn't always someone you can play with (here anyways), so being able to play alone in your garage or something sounds like a great thing.

    hi all,

my 1. selfmade-spin-minton video is on youtube: Link
It is HD-Quali, so you ca change to 720.

Infos: You can see spin-minton selfmade with a fishing rod. Not perfect, because components must be matched.
The other reason was strong wind in the garden.
The Ball gets through the elastic band very unpredictable trajectories and speed variations.
Under this cases only usefull for reactiontraining.

Will test some day in the sportgym.

    bye,
    thegrobi (from gemany)

and here is the video of testing in the sportgym: Link
Works much better than in the windy garden.

If you like the video and have a youtube-account, please give me a positive rating.

    bye,
