Has anyone used the "Timer" feature? Apparently it allows you to stretch a string for a specific # of seconds (1-30 secs) before the chuck returns to the "normal" tensioning mode.

Why can't you just use the pre-stretching and constant pull and not use this setting at all?

    i can, but i don't use it.
tennis strings are much different than badminton strings (also the multifile strings). i'm using prestretch 5% and seconds 6, so i have a constant result.
if you prestretch badminton strings on 20%, after the prestretch the string holds the tension. if you try the same with tennisstrings, the string is stretching a lot after the prestretch... so you need a constant to reach a good stringing result -> time. so i've using the timer function for tennisstrings.

Ah! Makes sense - I don't string tennis which is probably why I don't use it.

Thanks for the explanation - this is helpful!

Looks like I need to upload the videos to a third party site (i.e. Youtube) before I can share here.

You can embed the videos here once they're on Youtube. You'll get a thanks and a like from me, if that's any incentive

P.S. Facebook? I really don't care what people who went to my highschool twelve years ago are having for breakfast.

    hahhaha

Let me know if you like to see other videos.

Hey Mark - would you be able to share a quick capture of where the side supports mount on your racquet? I did see your post about the 12th and 15th grommets (bottom/top or top/bottom depending on pattern) as well as the video by Alan on stringing but would like to check out what you are doing for your supports.

I'm using the Haribito pattern and mounting the sides at 2 grommets below/above the top and bottom shared grommets. I found it seems to work alright but at higher tensions, not sure if that is sufficient. Thoughts?
