    Hi guys & girls,

I currently am playing with a karakal SL80 and this racket is very balanced almost leaning to headlight, and I use BG65 strings at 28 - 29lbs tension.

It is now a discontinued racket, which is a shame as it was also a very cheap racket.

Could any of you please advise or list other rackets with similar specifications that can be strung this high please?

The reason i need head light is due to getting wrist pain when playing with head heavy rackets.

    Thank you all!

Most rackets of reputable brands can take up to 30lbs, and I've never had one that can't take 28.
You didn't mention the shaft stiffness, which might be important ;) Carlton, Forza and Victor may be the best big brands for head-light rackets. Carlton has the specs for all their current ranges on their website: http://carltonsports.co.uk/
    Victor's top rackets: http://www.victor-international.com/index.php?page=rackets_pro
    Forza: http://www.fz-forza.com/Forza-EN/RACKETS/TITANIUM-SERIES.aspx

They all have their weak and strong points, so ultimately the best racket for you is a personal choice.

Yes, we have the new N-Forze Line on its way soon, including the Headlight N-Forze 9000 , definitely worth looking at! Not sure on the recommended tension yet, but it should be able to take what you require...

From VICTOR take a look at the Brave Sword range as most our even balance with the exception if the LYD. They then vary in stiffness - BS10 - stiff, BS11 - Medium Stiff, BS 12 & 9 - medium. Regards Ben

If you go Victor, then the BS12 should be the most head light one.

Thanks for the suggestions... i am worried about going to a racket over 90 grams... as mine is 80. Could you see that as a potential problem even with a head light racket such as the BS12?

    Thanks again.

I also tend to go med-stiff to stiff rackets as i have a fast racket head speed. :)

In this case I would recommend the BS11. I have one and it's a great racket and also one of the lightest in the BS series which is head light with a medium/stuff shaft. Or if you want stuff then go for the BS10

I'm assuming 80 without strings/grip, so probably about 85-7 all told. Which is pretty average for a racket. 80g wet is super-light, in which case Browning has some very light rackets (no personal experience), and some older models are light (from when the industry went through that phase).

Thats very true actually. The weight would be with strings and grip. So i suppose it wouldnt make a massive difference as long as it was headlight. I have a few rackets on my list now to go look at, so thanks for you help all of you.

Thanks mate. I appreciate it... do you run a shop that sell them? i have been reading up on them and they dont seem to be that headlight and they also seem generally quite heavy rackets unstrung... all over 90 - 93g ?

Yeah I do - I'm out at the moment but If I remember correctly the BS11 is 87g with an even balance which is why that was my recommendation. It plays headlight as well.
