Some news & photos from Aug. 1st..
- Well, as you all know and heard it, the biggest news that's still buzzing around London and the badminton venue is y'day's unfathomable show of embarrassment during 2 of the WD matches..Simply it's been a day of infamy that will go down in Olympics history book forever..
- On the BWF side, one of the BWF reporters apparently was inquired about by several news outlets to discuss what happened. But has turned down all of them. It's simply been nothing short of a surreal 24+ hrs for BWF as they try to reflect ..
- And yes, as already mentioned, CHN's WD player Yu Yang has officially "retired" from playing professionally (may/may not come back later) after this incident (well, she's been sort of thinking abt it for some time)..
- Saw someone brought in one of those white lenses into the stadium..
And here are a few photos to share from today's afternoon & evening sessions:

Taufik Hidayat in his recent interview with Chinese station, CCTV, in London said after this Olympics he will still be playing in a number of tournaments before retiring. He also mentioned that he feels thankful to all the blessings he earns from his achievements in badminton, recognizing there are many ups and downs during his long career, his peak in the 2004 Olympics as the gold medalist and the less mileage trips in other Olympics incl. the current London 2012.
He also mentioned the invitation from CBA for him to play in CBA League competition, thanked for the opportunity and he seemed to give a positive response to such invitation.
