    Our BC PAWers shouldn't be too shock (as points given in our PAW Game usually give us some good indication of what to expect).

    I shall copy and paste the PAW points for matches to be played today;

    MS Date Time Group (A) Name 1 vs (B) Name 2 (A) (B)
    MS117 30/7, 8.30am F Wong Wing Ki[16] vs Edwin Ekiring 6 17
    MS118 30/7, 9.07am C Kenichi Tago[8] vs Niluka Karunaratne 7 15
    MS119 30/7, 1.07pm H Vladimir Ivanov vs Hsu Jen Hao 10 10
    MS120 30/7, 1.44pm K Mohd Ajfan Rasheed vs Dmytro Zavadsky 25 4
    MS124 30/7, 2.15pm P Lin Dan[2] vs Scott Evans 4 24
    MS123 30/7, 7.44pm G Peter Gade[5] vs Pedro Martins 6 17
    MS121 30/7, 8.15pm A Lee Chong Wei[1] vs Ville Lang 5 18
    MS122 30/7, 8.50pm L Chen Jin[4] vs Przemyslaw Wacha 7 15

    There we have it;

    Lee Yong Dae failed to defend his gold medal in Beijing.

    So far only China has successfully win and defended their gold in three categories:

    Gu Jun/Ge Fei (1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney)

    Zhang Jun/Gao Ling (2000 Sydney and 2004 Athens)

    Zhang Ning (2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing)

    No other players have successfully defended their gold. Lee Yong Dae has failed.

    Only two defending champions remaining:

    Lin Dan

    Yu Yang (with a different partner)

    Now

    She's got the worst body language and pulls the worst facial expressions, it's like she's constantly depressed...such a shame

    Would be so funny to see Zhang Ning competing in London at the age of 37 if IOC provides a wild card entry for defending champions.

    Wouldn't happen, China need her to program the other ladies singles players...not sure they're up to thinking for themselves

    To be really honest and no disrespect to her, I prefer her as a player. Her coaching is not making any difference to the current crop of Chinese players and is messing up a few players.

    Before she even stepped in, other players have already established themselves: WYH and WX for instance.

    WYH have developed her game before even Zhang Ning started working.

    WX plagiarised Lin Dan's game when they both played at the same club.

    The most notable player to have actually beeen screwed up by Zhang Ning is Wang Shixian. No retooling, no change of gameplay.

    I do not like her as a coach.
