IOC control their show so strictly that we are finding info quite different from how we usually obtain our Badminton results, live scores, live streaming, etc., etc., ... Anyway, here are some links: For Schedule of Matches; http://www.london2012.com/badminton/schedule-and-results/index.html and/or http://tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=029C3CC4-48A0-47DB-901F-6CE32DFB717A&d=20120729 For Time in London; http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_GB.aspx For our BC PAW Game; http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/294-Olympics-LONDON-2012 For Live Streaming; Perhaps BCers from different countries can post the links that are working for their regions. Different countries sometimes cannot use the same links. Here is what IOC informed us (how to watch live); http://www.olympic.org/content/broadcaster-home/ and/or http://www.youtube.com/user/olympic and/or (from info from our BCers) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php/115153-Badminton-Live-Steam-London-2012 .
things starts to heat up as we move into the elimination stage. here are some notable matches for Wednesday. Tai Tzu Ying vs. Li Xuerui - Li will have to justify her qualification by taking on the 18 yrs old Taiwanese. Wang Yihan vs. Bae Youn-Ju - Bae gave Wang tons of trouble in the UC 1st singles. could she have a psychological advantage here? Wang hasn't exactly been tested or even warmed up in this Olympics so far. Lin Dan vs. Taufik - probably the most anticipated match for the day. replay of the 2004 Olympics final but now everyone is 8 years older. on paper LD should roll over Taufik but we never know. LCW vs. Simon Santoso - first test for LCW and should be an easy one. this will give us another glimpse of LCW's real form. Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei vs. Thomas Laybourn / Kamilla Rytter Juhl - the Danes are never easy meat. the last time they met was in 2010 and the Danes came out on top in 3 games. i expect this to be a close match. Fischer / Pedersen vs. Sudket / Saralee - both teams are in great form especially Sudket/Saralee. but i expect the Danes to win with their power and speed. Sudket and Saralee will try to control the match but mgiht be overpowered. Peter Gade vs. Son Wan Ho - PG has a 6-1 lead against the Korean, however, the last time they met in India SS, Son won in 2 games. no comments on any WD matches.
i hope that at least some europeans will make it to the semis of XD...at least it will be more interesting...pedersen/fischer nielsen have a good chance....worried about juhl/laybourn though...zhang/zhao seem to be on great form here...mateusiak/zieba have a chance to shine too...they need to play their best
XD is one of the most hotly contested events. MS has really only LD/LCW WS has the 3 Chinese and Saina MD has Cai/Fu and LYD/JJS and XD... the field is rather even. it is the best of times. it is the worst of times.
Hope that the four WD pairs involved yesterday will lose ! Here in europe badminton is not well known and that story will put a very very bad image of our sport.
i hope taufik can do like 2006 Asian Games final.... Semangat Fik... Give the last of very best of you
Glad to see you are back on time for taufik's match against lin dan later, taufik-ist.. Hope you still remembers me
Dream upset for Round 16 match results : Tai Tzu Ying vs. Li Xuerui - Playing the opening day of the day, hope Taiphoon manage to stay positive and make the start ahead in starting the first upset of the day!! Lin Dan vs. Taufik - Hope this time round taufik can be serious just one more time, as it would be great to see the old Taufik back to stop Lin Dan and China Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei vs. Thomas Laybourn / Kamilla Rytter Juhl - A 50-50 game. But fans will play a part in this I suppose in support the Danish and become their 3 man on court .. Peter Gade vs. Son Wan Ho - It maybe the last game for Peter, doubt his fitness can match with the young Wan ho.
