    Good day everybody.. :)

Just read the comments(live) from the Day-4 discussion thread about this match.. http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...the-Women-s-doubles-players-not-trying-to-win

I was wondering, to counter this kind of behavior in the group stage, the way is to modify the rule like this...

Rule :- The game carries (say)2 points, and the winner will be given the chance to decide who to take that points. (among the two teams). [Instead now the rule is to award the points to the winner].

Just like the way the TOSS winner can decide on the SERVE, whether to RECEIVE or DO-Serve.

At the least the games will be played with fair spirit, and later the WINNER can decide on whether the points to be taken or give-away.

Not bad an idea, but which group's winner gets to pick first? As the choice would be based on how other groups work out.

I still think random bracket placement AFTER the group play is done works good. Everyone guaranteed several games, but you don't know what side of bracket you will be in so you may or may not play team mate. Seeding should be determined by highest point differential total with points added if you win a match so you really just can't take a game off.
