IOC control their show so strictly that we are finding info quite different from how we usually obtain our Badminton results, live scores, live streaming, etc., etc., ... Anyway, here are some links: For Schedule of Matches; http://www.london2012.com/badminton/schedule-and-results/day=3-august/all-day.html and/or http://tournamentsoftware.com/sport/...17A&d=20120729 For Time in London; http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_GB.aspx For our BC PAW Game; http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...cs-LONDON-2012 For Live Streaming; Perhaps BCers from different countries can post the links that are working for their regions. Different countries sometimes cannot use the same links. Here is what IOC informed us (how to watch live); http://www.olympic.org/content/broadcaster-home/ and/or http://www.youtube.com/user/olympic and/or (from info from our BCers) http://www.badmintoncentral.com/foru...am-London-2012 ENJOY THE GAME!
there are 6 matches to be played today: 9am Saina Nehwal vs. Wang Yihan 9.45am Li Xuerui vs. Wang Xin 10.30am Fischer/Pedersen vs. Ahmad/Natsir 1.30pm Lee Chong Wei vs. Chen Long 2.15pm Lin Dan vs. Lee Hyun Il 3pm Zhang Nan / Zhao Yunlei vs. Xu Chen / Ma Jin
what is interesting is that Saina will play Wang Yihan before Li Xuerui play Wang Xin that means the results will be known and there will no need to be any team order unless Saina win. otherwise. all matches will be awesome to watch.
Certainly there's another loop hole with the above scenario. To avoid cheating(remember Ye Zhouying was ordered to lose to Gong Zhichao since Gong had better record against Camilla Martin), Li Xuerui should require to play against Wang Xin ahead of Saina vs Wang Yihan. I am not sure why it's to hard to see the potential problem? I am sure even the players want to be that way, dictate their own destiny.
Ye was instructed to lose to Gong precisely because the Ye/Gong match was played before the Zhou/Martin match.
And the difference is ...? Whether CM would have won before the same scenario would still have to be played out same as in anticipation of CM winning afterwards, not?
Unfortunately I think your analysis is incorrect If I was LYB I would want LXR to face Saina, regardless if it's in the Bronze medal playoff or the Gold/Silver medal match. Xin came through a tough three setter today and I don't think she's as good as LXR. With the current schedule he gets to see where Saina ends up and then can contrive to get LXR to face her. LXR is young and will have many more chances in the future so should be content with bronze, should it come to that. The only way it won't be manipulated is if Saina loses tomorrow and China doesn't really care about the clean sweep, even then they may only play the first game seriously .
Lin Dan verses Chen Long final guaranteed. Is the only non-China verses China final in the WD's? And that's because of disqualification!
Actually I wanted to say was if Saina win then the 2 Chinese will not play all out to win in order to conserve energy for the final(country comes first) ... Come to think of it, is not the badminton system/regulation that has loop hole rather is the Chinese Badminton Association who like to play GOD ;-)
This olympics is so boring... CHN CHN CHN CHN CHN........................................................ ..................................................................... No wonder BWF wants to disqualify all the WD plaayers... it's too prevent another CHN vs CHN final.
More likely because of "unsportwomanship" which is the cause, disqualification is the result. Hmm, maybe I'm overly suspicious to JP WD. Their match in semis kind of disappointing. Their only convincing game was the game against DEN team (in G2), which beat CHN double convincingly in G2. Their other matches result might just go the other way around. I will root them for their match, hopefully they can preserve Yonex tradition to always have representative in baddy's Gold. Just yesterday I saw Indonesia's tradition being stopped:crying:. EDIT : today -> their
