Dear fellow stringers.I am new to Badminton stringing and hope to do it for a great many years. However, I have just made 2 rackets on my PRO'S PRO TX-700 with a 25/27 lbs BG80 Yonex and it is as if the tension is far from what it ought to be. The rackets sound loose and the strings likewise when pressed against. I have followed the Yonex 4-knot stringing method so do you have any tips/guidelines for a newbie like me?Thanks a million,Hezafo
i found that the fixed clamps move a bit when you release the tensioner on this machine so i bought yonex flying clamps which have improved the tension tightness. Calibrate the machine aswell....i checked mine when it was delivered and it was about 2lbs less than what it was showing on the display. Lastly,i lose a little bit of tension when tieing off the knots, so i increase the tension by 1lb or 2lb on the last string so that when you release the clamp it is closer to the rest of the strings.....remember that bg65 drop a couple of lbs when you start playing with it aswell
I like these scales. Tie pieces of tennis string to each end then pretty accurate http://www.ebay.com/itm/88lb-40kg-P...tal_Scales&hash=item3a6c1485b3#ht_2068wt_1271
Recalibrating / clamping technique may be an issue, but worse comes to worse, just up the tension by a few pounds until it feels correct for you. My manual crank came 3lbs lower than what it was supposed to be
